Same boring life, same boring routine

I woke up with a weird pain in my wrist this morning.

It was so strange... I do quite a few jobs in the village and wake up with weird pains all the time, but this pain was just... different.

It didn't feel like a muscle spasm, or carpel tunnel, or a fracture, or a muscle tear, or a ligament tear, or a dislocation...

I had no idea what it could be, or what could have caused it, or how to fix it... so in the end, I just did what I always do when I wake up with weird pains.

I rolled out of bed, and just continued with my morning as if nothing were wrong.

I had no real food in the house, so I just went to the diner, like I always do.

Really, going to the diner for breakfast is nice, since I do a shift there first thing in the morning.

The lady that owns the diner sometimes gives me discounts on the food too, so that might be part of the reason I go here every morning...

After the diner shift, I head to the local shop and do some work there.
Because of my work, I also sometimes get discounts at the shop too!

After the shop, I do some work at the post office delivering letters! And from that, I learned that the lady who runs the diner is actually in love with the man who runs the shop, and... well, that was a surprise.

When I'm done delivering letters, I head to the village farm and do some work there. I take care of the animals! Feed them, brush them, bathe them...

Though, I've always thought it to be strangely hypocritical.
We keep our animals like this, in cages, as livestock... and then in history class whine about how we're being kept in similar conditions.

Once I'm done at the farm, I head back home and change into something a bit cleaner, and head to the bar for some work there.

Once I'm done work for the day, I go back home, and immediately pass out in my bed.

Tonight, though, I didn't fall asleep...

I don't know why, but I had this strange feeling like... like something terrible was about to happen.

Apparently, I was right to think that.

Because just then, as I was laying in my bed, I heard the sound every Human dreads to hear...

Screaming outside, blood splattering, bones being crushed, and flesh being torn into.

There was a Vampire in the village.
