He threw the head of the decapitated Vampire on the ground, and then he stomped on the head as hard as he possibly could.
I quickly turned my head the other way... I didn't want to see it.
But I still heard it.
It was a disgusting squish sound..."There we go. That should stop him from regenerating for a while."
I reluctantly looked over to the head, and immediately regretted my decision.
I needed to look at something else to keep myself from vomiting, so, trying to find ANYTHING else to focus on, my eyes looked up at the Vampire who saved me, and has apparently chosen me.
His hair was spiky and blonde, his eyes were as red as the blood around his mouth, and was very pale like most Vampires are.
He extended his hand to me, and using the arm that was not broken, I hesitantly grabbed his hand. Then, he pulled me up off of the ground so I was standing.
Still holding my hand, he led me out of the diner, and we walked through the moonlit village together.
Even in the darkness of the night, it was hard not to tell that the ground had been stained with blood.
As I wondered who specifically had been killed, we approached the village wall.
"Um... how are we going to get past the wall...?" I asked. "I mean, there aren't any doors or gates we could-"
Suddenly, the Vampire picked me up like I was completely weightless.
"Alright Human, you ready to fly?" He asked me.
"What-?"
He threw me high into the air, all the way above and past the wall.
I'd never really seen the night sky before, since it's dangerous to go outside at night... but right now, in this moment, I saw just how beautiful the sky was.
Then I remembered I was falling to the ground, and started panicking.
I covered my head, trying my best to make the injury I'm about to receive at least a bit less painful.
...
Yeah, it didn't work. The pain was horrible.
I heard something else hit the ground beside me, before I was picked up, and carried... somewhere.
I drifted in and out of consciousness as I was carried to the destination.
And, of course, I was fully woken by even more pain.
This time, it felt like something had slit my wrist open... and now, something was digging around inside my wrist.
I starting screaming because, you know, my skin was literally being torn apart.
"SHUT UP WHY DON'T YOU?!" A voice I recognized as the Vampire from earlier screamed at me. "God, it's like you want me to mess up, or something."
"S-so, what are you doing...?" I asked, trying to keep myself from screaming out in pain again.
"I don't have to tell you anything, Human." He said to me, angrily. "...I GUESS I'll tell you though. I put something in your wrist the other night, before I came to collect you. It's a way to mark a Human, let the others know to not kill it. Now I'm removing it, as it's no longer necessary." He explained to me. "You understand, right?"
"...sure." I actually didn't understand, but I felt it wasn't the greatest idea to admit that.
Though, that does explain the weird pain I felt in my wrist this morning...
After a few minutes, I felt him pull out whatever he used to 'mark' me, sew up my wrist, and I was told that it was now ok to move.
I got up from the bed I was apparently in, and was immediately reminded of all the injuries I had.
"Well, Human... welcome to your new life."
