Maleficent doesn't really think about dudes and when she does she daydreams and fantasizes about them, creates scenarios in her mind and replays back the moment events that she's had with them.
Never has had any of these things become part of tangible reality.
Wade has become part of her ever waking moment.
But of course after sometime after spending time with him Mal thought that things would go a little differently, but those things were too good to be true and too ahead of time (soon) to think about.

Some thoughts were just thinking about what life would be like......
Mal would envision what her kids would look like. Would she be green, have as much power as him, or just resemble me more?
This wasn't even a vision because she had one day has a dream about them.

But also used online apps to get a sense of it.
What's also different is their ethnic background even though they're of the same race and are both witches, her blood is impure due to her modern and non traditional ancestry.

Modern Witches have just begun to build a name for themselves even if they were considered less than.

Traditional Witches look down on them since they have very few contributions, but they don't make it any easier on them since cross breeding is forbidden.
Knowing this fact resulted in a punishment that took away the freedoms that they'd had as citizens.
So of course after knowing all this Wade had turned her down do to what her name and blood would bring to the table.
Humans are already seen as less than, but them mixing with witches complicates the modern witches' situation.
So here are her hypothetical scenarios that never became part of reality.
