"Grandma I found something in the library, and I would like to know what it is"- Vera

Grandma Wang was hesitant. And gave herself a moment before speaking.

"I've been waiting to tell you about this, but I guess I have to tell you now, we're....werewolves. A long time ago we were once part of this witch tribe called "The Brujas", we were in charge of a very specific task, which was to watch over the mortals. To ensure that they wouldn't summon any spirits with dark magic, but one day we were caught off guard and all hell broke loose when "Bloody Mary" had woke from her slumber and murdered the people that summoned her. The Witch council didn't know what to do, but to stage another murder to make it look like they had killed each other. And soon after they had punished us by turning us into wolves to avoid the same incident repeating itself."- Grandma Wang

"We're? I'm also a werewolf?"- Vera

Grandma nodded.

Vera began to think " It all started to make sense, but why hadn't her mom or sister made it?"

"Your father was mortal and didn't have any werewolf DNA but your mom did and her DNA was inactive it skipped a generation and the active wolf gene is in you and the inactive wolf gene in your sister."- Grandma Wang

Vera starts to remember what she learned in high school and sighs.

"So are any of my other family members wolves?" Grandma shook her head.

"We even have competitions between family members to identify the new alpha."

"And it's the elder's responsibility to tell the other wolves the things they need to master in order to win the competition. You need to get your strength up for the competition, and if you don't become and alpha you can become the omega. You can manage our rations of meat or help locate threats like vampires, demons, and other creatures that come in our midst. We used to be witches until we practiced forbidden magic and got cursed by a shaman. We also have ties with witches who were unaffected by the curse that happened 6 centuries ago. You've been told a half-truth about your school the majority of the people who attend blue rose academy are witches. Some students don't even know their true identity and wonder how they got in without any effort. Those ones specifically are hybrid witches who can only do spells and incantations."

"So how did I get into the school," said Vera.

"You got in because of your origin, they want to turn you back into a witch" grandma said.

"I just want to be human and live a normal life."-

"You're not turning human and I don't want you to be a witch, but a Shaman to learn our ways and teachings".

"So why haven't you tried to stop me from going to Blue rose".

"Because I want you to go to find out all you know about the potion that turns wolves into witches".

"What happens If I don't?"- Vera

"Then the other wolves will kill us and clean the meat off of our bones," grandma said.

Vera became a little bit tense due to how much has been laid on her in a single time frame. She wanted to know why she didn't know about this until now and how magic and wolves could even exist. Vera had been blind for years, but now she sees things that aren't supposed to even happen that defy science.

"Okay, I'll find out all there is to know about this magic."- Vera

Not giving it a second thought Vera began her trip to Pennsylvania.

She would be undoing a centuries old curse that had caused them pain and hurt, but now that was all about to change.
