After the trip Mal was in her room finding something to keep her occupied, until Wade went to check in on her in her room.
"Why was he here?"-She thought.
"Had he thought about us?"
This all led Mal to thinking that Wade was getting closer to her, but no.
Sometime passed and he began to become more distant after the trip that they'd had together.
Mal had felt that he was purposely ignoring her and at that point she felt the need to act, but at that point she was proclaimed a friend.
Mal had a hard time believing any of this and thought that Wade's parents were up to this.
But alas their connection had been severed.
