"Everyone ready for take-off?" Black, White, Red, Alyssa, Yellow, and Lucas all stood in the backyard clearing. Each one of us atop a flying pokemon, Yellow paired with White. Lucas and Alyssa rode Frosty with me.
We had strategized for as long as we can until Lucas informed us of the little time we had remaining. We were going to Raymond Peak, a few hours flying should be all we needed to reach the peak of the mountain from here.
"I'll reiterate this again so pay attention!" All eyes were on me, listening as the flying types began to ascend off of the ground. "Our goal is to stop Team Plasma from summoning the legendary. We must stop them, but your safety takes priority among all else. White is to stay in charge of Yellow the entire time. If anyone, and I mean anyone, needs to leave we won't fault you."
I locked eyes with Red, him sending me a slight glare from Charziards back. In all honesty, we hadn't really spoken since this whole thing blew up in our faces. But his glare was clear, he wanted me to abide by these same rules. But I hate to say I can't make any sort of promises.
"Is everyone ready?" The pokemon hovered off the ground, awaiting our command to begin flight. Once they took off there would be no backing out, we had to stop Team Plasma, they had taken too much from me as it is.
"Let's do this!" White shouted, an optimistic smile on her face as she the flying types took that as their command. The wind immediately blasted us all as they flew fast, even they were growing impatient it seemed.
"When we reach the alter we let the three lake guardians do their thing. They are going to seal any kind of summoning Team Plasma will try." I talked lowly to my two cousins. This plan needed to go smoothly, if they even see the three they might take countermeasures from the start.
The mountain came closer and closer into view every passing second. The atmosphere around us was slowly tensing as we reached the foot of the mountain. It seemed everyone grew serious, and the urgency was dire.
"Now," I whispered to the two next to me. With a faint red light, and a flick of the wrist the Lake Guardians moved out. They had begun their own climb as we ascended ours. This needed to work.
"Halfway up!" Red shouted his hand reaching for his bag, "Get your pokeballs ready to go!"
Everyone followed suit, the closer we got the more we realized just how many Plasma ships were in the area. It was hard to put a number to things, but at the very least this operation had a large chance of failure. But we couldn't let that happen. Could Sasha be up there? Being forced to help these fuckers with whatever idiotic plan they were coming up with.
As the peak came into view, a large ray of white light shot upwards. The light acted like some sort of beacon as it just kept going.
"What the hell is that?!" Black shouted, all of us stopped as the wind picked up. "Don't have time to answer we need to land on the peak before the wind picks up anymore. The pokemon won't be able to handle it!"
We all increased speed, each of us landing on the eastern side of the peak, behind the airships. Lucas placed his finger over his mouth, signaling to everyone. Just behind the airships, the large beam could be seen, hell it could probably be seen from Kanto at this point.
We had no way of telling how Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit were doing. We could only have faith that the wind wasn't too strong for them. If they couldn't make it we may as well give ourselves up right now.
"What do you want us to do?" I locked eyes with Frosty, then assessed the area. "You and the others stay back here, using the airships as cover. If anyone needs an out provide it, you'll be the last resort from this point forth."
Frosty nodded and the flying types all listen to them. Now it was our turn to see what the hell was going on. Each of us got into small groups, mine consisting of Red and me. "Stay with your groups are you maneuver to see what's going on."
Red grabbed my hand, pulling me along the edge of an airship. Once we reached the rear end we heard people. The back of this airship was down, revealing three guards. No pokemon seemed to be by them, so that was good.
I flicked Red's shoulder, then pointed below the airship. He rolled his eyes and proceeded to walk under it. We both made it to the other side, the wind is far more abrasive without the airships breaking the friction that was being created.
The alter was there like Azelf said. But it was different from what I was expecting. It was a small statue in the center of a small body of water that was glowing. The steam coming off the water showed that it was hot to some extent.
"What do we do from here?" I spotted my Uncle, he seemed to be the closest to the beam. Next to him was a man I never wished to see again. My own deadbeat dad, and next to him was Sasha. Her hands were restrained in front of her as she seemed to have a scowl on her face. "I beat up those two bastards and call it a day."
"Within reason Princess." Red's hand clasped over my shoulder, not allowing me to go anywhere. But he had a point, what do we do from here? Besides the three in front of the alter, there seemed to be about eight grunts that we could see from our point.
I could send out Tiny to gather intel from the others, but the wind is so strong. Tiny most likely wouldn't have much control over their flight right now, meaning Tiny would take the risk of being found out.
My eyes widened as a smirk crept onto my face. Turning to Red I nodded, a plan formulating inside of my head.
"I have an idea."
