Chapter 9: The Battle Of Spring Valley

Emlyn and the group reached Spring Valley it seemed perfect upon arrival however dark clouds were rolling in. Emlyn walked up to one of the towns people and introduced herself. "Uh hello I'm Emlyn Lovet, I'm just wondering if you guys have had any trouble?" The gentleman she spoke to smiled at her.

"Yes, yes everything's always sweet and sunny here in Spring Valley except the occasional rain shower but it always ends with a rainbow." He responded in one long breath and Emlyn blinked at him in confusion.

"Oh alright well I'm happy to-" she was interrupted as lightening struck the center of the town causing an explosion of black smoke.

Then as the smoke diminished Camilla stood there in the spot the lightening struck. "Well seems you beat me here, hmph still won't stop me from destroying it."

Sarah was quick to react and shot ice in her direction. Camilla dodged it and began zipping around through teleportation and destroying things at random. "How are we supposed to catch her?" Sarah said looking at Emlyn.

"I don't know anyone got any ideas?" She looked at her group and Mystic lit her horn and tried zapping her wherever she appeared but nothing was working.

"I got this!!" A very excited Bob dashed forward throwing a knife at a random location. Camilla appeared in the same spot and was hit in the chest knocking her to the ground.

Sarah prepared an ice blast quickly to freeze Camilla as Stella grabbed Emlyn and made her face her, "I have to tell you something I-"

Before Camilla was hit by the ice she had thrown a black fireball in Stella's direction blasting her across the entire village. Seconds later Camilla was frozen and Emlyn dashed in the direction Stella was thrown.

All she could see was smoke so she called out her name, "Stella! Stella where are you?" The smoke began to clear away and she saw Stella's hand underneath a pile of rubble.

She began clearing it away with her hands and dug Stella out. She shook her seeing that she was unconscious, "Stella! Stella wake up!" She said and felt for a pulse which was beating really slow. Stella was dying.

"We have to get her back to the Castle right away!" Emlyn said looking at the others.

"I got this hop on." Inferno said as he lowered himself and they lifted Stella on top of him. Emlyn climbed on herself and Bob scrambled up there.

"The rest of you stay here and help the people repair the village, I'll be back." Inferno flew them back to the Castle and they rushed Stella to a medic.

"I've got this you have to stay out though." The nurse said and closed the door in their face. Emlyn turned to Bob.

"Did you and Stella find out anything?" She asked him and he nodded.

"Yes I don't know why you didn't just ask I can read morse code just fine." He stated and Emlyn stared blankly not even surprised at this point.

"Perfect then we will begin our quest to find the items we need, I'm going to talk to Horrace." She left and headed for the throne room.

"Well hello Emlyn." He said when she entered even though she wasn't quite yet in his view.

"Hello Horrace guess you were right, Bob knows things." She responded quietly, her mind was on Stella.

"She will be just fine Emlyn, I promise. As for Bob yes he certainly does have odd insight." He responded and Emlyn looked past him for a minute before returning her gaze.

"She wanted to tell me something, do you know what it was?" Emlyn asked and Horrace sighed, he very well knew and she could see that.

"It's not my place to tell you Emlyn, I'm sure she will tell you when she's ready. Give her some time." He said and she nodded.

"Alright at least tell me how Bob is so smart." She asked but more in the form of a statement and Horrace chuckled.

"You won't believe me but there was a time I was in love but she had a tragic end. The only thing that came from it was our soon. He was odd but he had even weirded insight then me, her, or even Harriet. He has gifts even though he's strange, but Bob's my son." Horrace told her.

"Your son?" Bob was across the room and he looked even more confused then Emlyn did.
