Strangely, it feels different coming back here to Yuigaoka.
To learn that my Mom attended the old Jinguu Music Academy, and that this was the birthplace of the school idol concept...
It's like I'm walking on hallowed ground!
However, I'm not here today for a pilgrimage. I came here to watch a live show, and ask some questions.
Can they really call this the Yuigaoka School Auditions? There's no point in the plural if only Liella! are competing.
Not to take any credit away from them. Their skill as a group is phenomenal.
There's a reason why I've allowed Liella! to have their own Sub-Stage at the School Idol Festival.
As a quintet of first-year students at a newly opened school, they represent the future of the school idol industry.
Meanwhile, A-RISE represent the past and placed the foundations for modern school idol groups.
Groups like Saint Snow, who represent the present.
Three Sub-Stages representing past, present, and future. And what better place for them than the biggest school idol event of the year?
More importantly, the School Idol Showcase is coming up WAY before the School Idol Festival.
If QU4RTZ win our own School Auditions, then I know Liella! are in for a great rematch!
The auditions are being held in the Main Hall, so I should follow the signs and go there.
For a school that apparently has an essence of superiority integrated with its Music Course, the students of Yuigaoka know how to band together to set the scene.
Look at that Liella! banner hanging proudly from the rooftop. That must have taken 30 people to make!
Whilst a performance this great has only taken 5.
What? I know I haven't seen it yet. But it's Liella!, of course their performance will be brilliant!
