Chapter Four
As I I mentioned at the beginning, this is a side project and more of a short story so updates are less often and much shorter. This is barely a chapter but I wanted to get something up for this story to those who do read it. So yeah, enjoy adn I love any of you who are reading this story xoxoxo
When we got home from the supermarket, I made an effort. A genuine effort. When Sasha asked where a few cleaning products were, I helped her graciously. She was actually good at cleaning despite what she let on. Everyone was surprisingly fast at cleaning what had to be cleaned. I had lunch ready for them to eat when they came to sit down at the table. They thanked me profusely and dug in.
While they did that, I dragged myself upstairs with Drew’s laundry. Folding it was easy, finding space to put it was the hard part. There was who knows what in his draws, not just clothes, a lot of unidentifiable objects. I had to rid all his drawers of rubbish before I could finally put his clothes in. It took me a whole hour to do it. Drew waltzed into his room looking relaxed when I finally finished in. I gave him one of my best glares and he instantly retreated. I blew out an angry breath, “Drew Michael Chadwick, you come back here right now.” He slinked back into his room and I was quick to clip him across the head, “I’ve been gone one semester and you couldn’t even keep your drawers clean?! What else am I going to find if I check your closet, huh?”
He laughs, “I wouldn’t check in there if I was you.”
I did it against his objections and I regretted it instantly. The smell hit me instantly, making me gaga in my throat. I span around to face him after the slamming the doors shut; it will never be 4:20 in your room ever again. Get rid of it and get rid of that stench. Now.”
I start to walk out of the room and he’s just chuckling, he always seemed to get a kick out of working me up. “Hey you know Kitty, you should lighten up a bit.”
“I’ll lighten up when you grow up.”
“Ooh harsh.” He winced playfully. “You’ve always been quite the Ice Queen, haven’t you?”
“Just shut up and clean your room.” I shot back.
“You should lighten up.”
“Never.” I said dryly.
“Even if I tickle you?” He answered playfully.
Before I could even react, he had his arms around me, tickling my sides. I was gasping out and laughing despite shouting obscenities at him. I squirmed around trying to get out of his grasp but he had me in an iron grip. I helplessly hit his arms but that did nothing. When Wes burst through the door, I thought he had come to rescue me. I was completely wrong about that. He started ticking me as well so I tried to kick him much to no prevail. They both laughed and tickled to me and soon it was an all-out war. I squealed mechanically and giggled at their attempts to ‘lighten me up’. I whimpered out uncontrollably. “Stop it! Please, I’m begging you. You’re messing up my hair.”
Sasha came to the door and looked at us with a shocked yet amused expression on her face. I opened my mouth to ask for help but Drew covered it with his hand, “Say, Drew and Wes are the best boys in the world.”
I didn’t even try to object. When he let his hand drop, I did as he said. They both smiled and dropped me lightly to the ground. I straightened my blouse and fixed up my hair before glaring at them, “I seriously hate you two.”
Wes laughed and as if it were planned, they both kissed my cheeks simultaneously. “Don’t worry, we still love you Kitty.” Drew said simply before walking over to Sasha and wrapping his arm around her. He gave her a peck on the lips, “And I love you also Sasha so don’t worry.”
She grinned, “Nice to know babe.”
I rolled my eyes, “I don’t know how Sasha puts up with you Drew.” I looked at her and faked a secretive whisper, “Honestly, get out while you can.”
She laughed and gave me a smile, “I’ll keep that in mind.”
Drew groaned, “Oh god. Please don’t start ganging up on me.”
Sasha chuckled and punched his stomach gently, “If you don’t look out, we might just do that.”
She winked at me and Drew continued to drag her out of the room before I could say anything. Who knew, maybe I could grow to like her after all.
