This chapter is dedicated to @estefanysalinas98 because she is one of my best friends and i love her
"Kitty, you sure you don’t want a drink? You look really tense; maybe getting some alcohol in your system would relax you a bit?” Jett suggested.
“Maybe if you started calling me by my name I would be a little more tranquil.” I snapped back. I probably shouldn’t be smarting off to Jett seeing as he could have me killed in a heartbeat, but I’m not in the mood to be civilized.
He shifted his body a little, probably uncomfortable with my remark. Jett seems like the type of person who isn’t used to being put down. He ignored me and continued on with his conversation, not knowing what to say was my guess.
“Sasha, I bet the tension here is caused by your little bet, isn’t it? That’s what Kaitlin and you don’t get along right? She found out didn’t she?” Jett interrogated her.
“Jett shut up, please,” She begged.
I had no clue what was going on, but I intend to find out. Whatever Jett was doing, he was doing it intentionally, and I could tell by the way he spoke. This ‘bet’ sounds like something I need to figure out about. If Sasha was trying to keep me from hearing what it was, then my knowledge could damage her somehow. And the only way that could happen, means it has to do with Drew.
“What bet?” I asked.
“Oh, so you don’t know about Sasha’s little deal?” Jett smirked, clearly aware of what he was doing.
“Jett please don’t bring her into this. She’ll tell him.”
So Drew is involved with this, I’m going to find out.
“Jett what are you talking about?” I became anxious.
“Should I tell her or should you? Or should I get Josh to?” Jett suggested. Honestly, I wished for Josh to tell me. Sasha could avoid the whole truth and I just didn’t like anything that poured out of Jett’s deteriorating mouth; which was probably caused by all the drugs.
I don’t know Josh that well, but when I met him back in high school, he seemed like a really nice kid that just hung out with the wrong crowd. I don’t know how he got started with Jett, but by what Drew told me, his brother was a pretty big deal, bigger than Jett. After he killed himself, Jett took over his spot and Josh started hanging out with the group. I feel bad for the kid.
“Josh, tell me.” I spoke, directing the attention towards him.
“I don’t know if I sh—“
“Tell her Josh. It was going to happen eventually.” Sasha finally gave in. She sank into her seat.
Josh sat up on the couch, putting his arms on his legs. “Back before Sasha started seeing Drew, she got in some trouble,”
I don’t like how this is going.
“What trouble?” I interrupted.
“Her and Craig were running low on money,” I wasn’t going to ask who Craig was. It was probably some stoner friend they hung out with. “They owed some dealers some cash, $3,000 dollars to be exact.”
I saw Sasha sink further down into her seat while Jett had a massive grin on his face. How could someone owe that much money? There’s only so many drugs a person can intake.
“There was no way to get the money so they had to come up with something. They got Jett involved and he paid off the debt.”
My stomach was churning with every word he was saying.
