The rhythm in my mind
Happiness behind my eyes
The summer flew by
I had forgotten this feeling
As the weeks ticked by
I never met you
But you took a piece of my heart when you died
It had been a while since I had cried
You were right
She was kind
Gave me the notes you left behind
The letters filled with words I wished you said
But that day you just did not get out of bed
Leaving behind a girl who wrote you notes to help you pass your time
I hope you are healthy now and know she is safe
Waiting to see you again one day
