Selena slumped down on her chair.'What did I just do ?' she thougth to herself 'I just lost my best friend...'
As Selena was hating herself,Kane entered the room and he noticed Selena right away
"Hey !Can I sit here ?" Kane said as he pointed at an empty seat beside Selena
"U..um..." Selena couldn't say anything.
"That's my seat !So you can't have it !" A girl with black long hair pushed Kane away.
"Ah..Maria.." Selena looked up at her
"Oh..sorry..Um,who are you ?It's just that i'm new here and well..I-I'm Kane.." Kane scratched his cheek.
"I'm Maria.The president of the class !You must be stupid to not know that !Even if you are new,I don't care !" Maria took the seat next to Selena. "I'm a friend of Selenas and I can tell that you're not.So,bye Kane." Maria mootioned her hand as if she was saying 'Go away !'
Kane smiled and apologized.A boy from Selenas class came by and told Kane to sit next to him so Kane took the offer.Maria was speaking to Selena,but Selena didn't listen since Selena couldn't take her eyes off of Kane.
"Selena..?Are you even listening to me ?" Maria waved her hand in front of Selenas face.
"You were talking to me ?I'm so sorry for not listening !!" Selena laughed a little.
As Selena was talking to Maria,she caught a glimpse of Takeru passing by her classrom.She looked over at her and Takeru looked back.Takeru looked away.
'Takeru...' A tear slid down Selenas cheek.
"Hm ?Selena !?" Maria noticed her tears "W-what happened ?Did I do anything wrong ?!"
"*Sniffle* N-no...It's okay Maria..I'm fine.." Selena rubbed her eyes with her sleeves "I'm just glad I have a friend like you that cares for me..." Selena placed her head on Marias shoulder
~Recess !~
Maria was heading towards the soccer goals and Selena tagged along.
"You like soccer,Selena ?" Maria turned to her
"No...but I don't want to be lonely..." Selena looked down on the ground
"hehe..It's alright !" Maria patted her on the head.Selena gave out a giggle and she decided to play soccer once..she was awful...
~After school~
Selena was walking home alone since Takeru usually walks with her,but they got into a fight.As Selena was walking home,a group of boys that looked like 8th grade,approached Selena.
"Hey beautiful,wanna come with us ?" One boy said. "Yeah.Let's go have some fun !" Another boy grabbed Selenas arm.
"S-s-sto..!" Selena still couldn't talk to boys,so instead,she yelled "HELP !!"
Kane heard her and started running towards Selena.
"Let her go !" Kane punched one boy and kicked the other.The other people that were with them started to fight.They grabbed Kane and Selena.
"Watch this lil' lady" The boy holding Selena lifted her head up
As cruel as they were,they made Selena watch Kane get beat up.One by one,they started to punch and hit Kane,but Kane got up and fought back.Kane won.
"A-are you..okay..?" Selena asked Kane with tears in her eyes.
"Heh..That's the first time..you talked...to me.." Kane fell to the floor and became unconcious.
"Kane !" Selena caught him and held him. "Thank you.." She whispered into his ear,even though she knew he couldn't hear her.
~Next Day~
Selena was already at her desk,reading.When Kane entered the room,he immediately walked over to Selena and tapped her on the shoulder "Good morning !" He greeted her with a warm smile. Selena looked over "H-hello.." She spoke.
"Eh ?!?!?!?" Maria was shocked "Selena talked to a boy ?!"
"Mh hm" Kane nodded
"Do you know you're the first boy Selena ever talked to ?!" Maria loomed over his face "Do ya ??"
"Um..no.I never knew that..." Kane backed up "Oh !You're reading divergent ?! I love divergent !Oh sorry i'm like this..I just love books !" Kane gave the biggest smile "You should read Percy Jackson !!"
"Let's get to our seats guys.The teachers coming." Maria came in between the two
