This Is The End

"Kane..?" Selena stared at the limp body on the bed.The nurses and doctors had left to give Kane some space and silence.She approached the bed and stood beside it,looking down at Kane.He opened his eyes,but only halfway and he looked up at her.He was covered in bandages and blood. "Sel-selena..?Hey.." His voice was weak.Selena clenched her teeth and slammed her fist into the wall,bruising it. "Selena..?W-what are you-"

"Shut up !Shut up I said !" Selena said as her voice trembled and his eyes widened.Her face was hidden because of her hair.

"Sel..?Is everythi-everything oka-"

"Shut up already !!!" She yelled and it made Kane flinch. "You stupid idiot.." She sniffed.Kane raised his arm up and placed his hand on her cheek "Selena..thank you for becoming my friend even though I was so hard to deal with..thank you for all you've done for me..you can stop worrying now..because..I love you.."

She felt his warm hand on her cheek and she wanted to say it 'I love you too !!' but she couldn't make it into words.The words dissolved in her throat and turned to tears.

Kane made a bright smile,like the one where Selena first met him.He slowly closed his eyes and a tear slid down his cheek.

"Kane..?!Please wake up.Please open your eyes.." His hand slipped off her cheek and dangled beside the bed. "Kane..don't do this..please.." Selena heard a long beep from a machine that was monitoring Kane's heart.Selena knew what that meant.She knew she wouldn't feel the warmth of his hands anymore.She knew she wouldn't be able to hang out with him after school again.She knew she wouldn't see that bright smile of his that she loved so much.She knew..it was the end.Her legs started to wobble and she slowly fell on her knees,holding one of his bloody hands in hers.Her eyes burst into tears.

'Kane..I'm happy that you were my first memory..I'm happy you were my first male friend..i'm happy I got to spend time with you..Kane,i'm happy...that you were my first love..from now until the end of time...you are someone..I will never forget..' She wanted to say that to him.She wanted him to be by her side forever.She wanted him to cheer her up,like he always tries to do.Why did this have to happen ?That question kept replaying in Selena's head .

Selena left the room with her eyes filled with tears and her hand covered in blood.Her eyes were dark red.She sat down beside Kanes little brother.She didn't believe it..she didn't want to believe it.Selena had already stopped crying but once she saw Kane's parents and brother cry,she had started to cry once again.She hugged his little brother tightly and cried into his shoulder while he cried in hers.That was a day,no one could forget.It was the first day,Selena had cried for somebody so much.It was the day,Kane had died.

"Selena,hurry.Let's go already !" Takeru waved over to Selena through her window.

"I'm coming.." It had been a week since Kane's death.Selena,Takeru,Orihime,Aaron,and Maria had been invited to his funeral. 'I love you..' Those last words Kane said to Selena echoed inside her head.She rubbed her eyes.Every night since that day,she would cry every time someone mentions his name,existence or if she remembered.

~At the Funeral~

"Selena.Thanks for coming." Kane's mother told her and walked away.His little brother was no-where to be spotted.Selena wandered around the area and saw a cliff with the perfect view.He was there.Kane's little brother was sitting down at the peek of the cliff,looking into the sunset.She sat down next to him and pulled her legs up to her face "Hey.."

"Hey.."

"I'm sorry..for your loss.." She tried to not sound like she was giving him pity.

"Thanks..but it wasn't just my loss,it was yours as well.You loved my brother,didn't you ?" The little brother turned towards Selena.

Here eyes widened in shock a little but she also knew the truth.She nodded "Yeah..I did love your brother..but he's gone now.."

There was a few minutes of silence until the brother spoke "My name's Koal by the way and I picked this place for his funeral.Oh and here..before he..you know..he gave me this letter addressed to you."

"Oh..thanks.."

"This was his favorite place to go.I came here with him for the first time and he said if he were to die,he wanted it near here.Him and I..this was our most treasured place.." Koal felt his eyes starting to water but he wiped it away.

"Koal..i'm so sorry.." Selena looked down at the floor.

"You don't need to apologize..it's not like you killed my brother..." Koal dangled his feet over the edge and looked up at the sky.

"But..in a way,I did."

"What do you mean by that ?"

"He died because..he was rushing to meet me after school.."

Koal grabbed Selena collar then let go.

"It was his own actions.Don't blame yourself.Anyway,i'm heading back.." He stood up and Selena grabbed the back of his shirt.

"Stay..please..if i'm alone,I would cry again.." She let go of his shirt.Koal was surprised but he sat back down anyway.

"Selena..look." Koal pointed up to the sky "The sun's setting."

She looked up and her eyes sparkled "wow..it's so..beautiful..no wonder Kane loved this place.." She saddened.

"Hey Selena.Don't tell anyone else about this place.Let's just make this our little secret.For Kane."

"...For Kane.." Selena stared at the setting sun and she smiled a little bit "Kane...I wish you the best.." She sniffed and opened the letter

-- 'Selena,i'm sorry for not being honest.What I always wanted to tell you was that you were really special to me even though I only had little time to spend with you and everyone else.

What I always wanted to say was I don't like you.I'm beyond that.So i'm pretty sure i'm in love with you.

You might not understand but,you make me smile without doing anything at all and you also make my heart beat just by looking at me.That's all I had to say..

I'm sorry I bothered you...

'Stupid Kane..you didn't bother me at all..' She couldn't hold back from crying anymore.And that,was the end of that.

Yes I know it was cliche and cheesy and stuff but whatever !I'm also making an epilogue so yeah.This is the last chapter though..Thank chu for everybody who read this 'till the end !I'm also a starter for writing stories so..that explains this XD.I may write more stories..maybe.Sooo yeahhh whatevs :P.
