Still a Childish Dreamer

New roomie

Yeji has been missing for so long we've been seeing the case on the news for the longest.

We start college next week, and we've packed up some things for our dorm and chose to put the rest away in storage. "Well, it was nice while it lasted."

"Yeah, i'm gonna miss this house."

"I might not, we were living beside our enemies."

"But the memories besides that! Imagine all of the adventures we'd get caught into."

I chuckle and sit beside her on the couch. "I'm done with adventures."

"As long as Seojun likes you, you're not done."

"Okay then...i'll make him not like me."

"Pshh."

There was a knock on a door so as she responded she got up to open the door. It was Suah and Sujin.

"I brought deserts! The bakery was trying new recipies to add to the menu so i offered to try them and get back to them with the ratings."

"Ouuu, so free sweets?!"

"Yesssss."

"YASSSSSS!"

Khyia get's highly excited over free food.

They joined me in the living room and she took them out of the bag as Khyia and Sujin came with the table and forks. All of the desserts looked so good, tasted good as well.

"Khyia do not go back for seconds until everyone has rated the treat okay?"

"What? i can't hear you it's so loud next door omg!"

Her scarcasm earned a laugh from all of us as we started passing the treats around.

"AHHHHHHHHHH! SEREN! BUGUALR!!"

I was awakened by screams down the hall. Then a loud thump.

"What are you doing in my house?!"

"NO. What are you doing in MY HOUSE?!"

I scurried to her room to see her and a girl looking at each other with squinted eyes since they were tired and it was early morning, but they stopped eventually after rubbing them a bit.

"Who the hell are you?"

"I don't know if i should forclose that information! I'm calling the cops!"

Khyia snatches her phone away and another figure stops at the door breathing heavy from running upp the stairs. "What's- Who are you guys?"

"Nigga who are you?! It's 4am! And she barging in here while i'm sleep! Ya'll are intruding!"

After everyone calmed down we learned that the girl was the daughter the lady told us about before we moved in, better known as Jugyeong. The guy's name is Suho, her boyfriend. He drove her here after they decided they couldn't wait any longer to get home and she knew nothing about is just as we knew nothing of her. Just that she wasn't supposed to come until three days from now. That has clearly backfired.

"So... you were staying here and was supposed to be gone before my estimated arrival?"

We both nod. "And you clearly scared the shit out of me when you came into my room in the middle of the night."

"Yeah...you scared us too."

We all looked at Suho who hadn't really said much, that was the first time he involved himself in the conversation since when he first walked in asking what was going on.

"I can be very initimidating when you wake me out of my sleep and it isn't for good reason." She gives him a smile and Jugyeong nervously chuckles before grabbing her jacket her jacket. Her shoes were already off, but i guess she was going to put then back on.

"So i guess this means i have to bunk with you at your house until school starts and they leave."

"Oh, right. Yeah i guess so."

"Well you two have a good night, drive safe-"

"Wait Khyia, we can't just let them leave this late at night."

"Where would they even sleep? I'm not moving my things out of here yet. I want my money's worth."

I turn to them both as they look at me confused, or scared of Khyia who knows honestly. "Would you like to stay in the other two rooms until further notice?"

"Oh no my brother is to come back as well, and i wouldn't dare sleep in my mother's She's had it locked up with things she's hiding from my dad.

I slowly nod and then open the room door. "Then i guess you better get going."

She nods and Suho follows her out of the front door. We watched them as they left and once he drove off i closed the door and looked at Khyia. "Wow."

"You said it not me. I'm going to bed."

She leaves me downstairs alone to turn off the kitchen light and then the hallway light as i went to my room. "We really do have to leave before we get pulled into another adventure with new people."

I saw light outside my window as i got back into my bed and got comfortable though i didn't care. Today was just going to have to be one of those days i slept in again.

I don't know what time it was, all i know is that my phone rang vigorously beside me until i decided to pick it up. "Hello?"

"Goodmorning! Did i wake you?" It was Seojun calling. How could i forget him and his routine calls every day after one disturbance?...

"Yes try again in another hour-"

"Wait, don't hang up on me. It's literally 10 am, you're usually up."

"Well that was before i was woken up at 4 am and stayed up trying to figure out who was the stranger in Khyia's room and why they were there at such a time."

"What do you mean stranger in Khyia's room.."

"Some girl..I think the said her name was Jugyeong?"

"Hello?"

He had went silent over the phone, if i was dumb i would think he muted himself but i still heard his surroundings.

"Seojun!"

"..Is she still there?"

"N- no but."

"Okay good i'm coming over with breakfast then."

"Wha- wait why did you pause do you know her?"

"You said pancakes were your favorite right?"

"Seojun do not-"

"Okay byeee!"

He hung up on me. Why the hell did he react such a way after I mentioned her?...
