Spencer follows Emily into their monitoring set up.

Emily has a phone in her hand linked to talk with Max...

~*~

"We aren't going to say much," Max hears Emily say from her ear piece, "Cat was too self absorbed to notice you listening, but from our profile, Brian is going to be reading ever line of your face. He will know if we feed you too much."

"I got it," Max says just in time for the door knob it shudder.

The door swings open, and Juliette, Max presumes, is on the other side.

Her hair is up and she is wearing an apron, with red painted lips.

"She's here!!" Juliette croons motioning for Max to enter.

Max steps in to the home.

The smell of bacon hits her senses and she follows Juliette through the home.

Julliette acts as if she is a normal guest coming over for brunch.

The woman guides Max to the kitchen area where two figures sit.

One is Sammy.

She looks him over for any sign of harm.

His eyes are wet with tears, and they shoot to meet hers as she appears, but he keeps still.

Brave Boy.

When she is satisfied that Sammy is ok, she allows her eyes to travel slowly to the next figure at the head of the table...

It's her dad.

No, it's Brian... he looks just like their dad now.

When their eyes meet, his head cocks, and he smiles a disturbing smile as he motions to the seat closest to her.

Max peers behind the table to see Julliette, who has placed herself at the stove, flipping bacon and eggs.
Her back is to them, but Max can just make out a tune being sung as she sways her hips in time:

"So tell me to leave
I'll pack my bags, get on the road
Find someone that loves you
Better than I do, darling, I know
'Cause you remind me every day
I'm not enough, but I still stay."

They're playing house. Max thinks.
