15. Book (Eren x Armin) HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, EREN! 

The glistening orb in the baby blue sky lightened up the world, its rays soughting out almost every nook and cranny the shadows haven't already dominated. The mid-spring's breeze ruffled the soft green blades, their tendrils squishing inbetween the feet of a blonde bookworm. His baby blue irises shifted from word to word, engrossing the storyline. He would supress a sigh, laugh, or even chide at some sections of the worn out book. Its old pages were yellowing with age, the words that were once a perfect black now dulled to a mute grey. Currently, a look of triumph and pride took over his normally calm facade, a small smile tugging at the corners of his soft lips. He placed the book under his arm, realization hitting him like a bullet. Today was a very important day. Today was the day the love of his life was born 19 years ago. He grinned, rushing to his chamber to grab the intricately wrapped present in his dainty fingers before leaving his room. His blonde tresses bounced and swayed with his upbeat and swift footsteps, his mind guiding his feet to the place he always knew to go. The lake behind a grove of ferns. "Eren! I'm sorry I'm late." He smiled softly, walking over to the boy with a huge grin plastered on his face. "I got you something.. I hope you like it.." He placed the present near him, giving out a sigh and unwrapping it for his lover. "See here? Its a book on the outside world. A merchant sold it to me for only a few coins.." Pride glistened in the blondes eyes, looking around for any sign that the boy was reflecting his joy. But all he saw was that grey slate that would always tear him apart inside. His hand went up to rub tears from his eye, his mouth allowing a choked sob to escape. "I'm sorry.. It was my fault.. I-If I.." He paused,  a serious of hiccups cutting off his sentence. "Hadn't *hic* of suggested going after Bertold and Reiner in that *hic* way, you would be here with me.." He bawled, throwing his arms around the slab jutting out from the ground. "I miss you, Eren.." "Happy Birthday.."
