Chapter 25

Y/n's perspective:

The dance has been so amazing. The music, the food, and the dancing. Phantom and I had danced for almost all of the songs together. I felt like I was floating the entire time we were dancing. It felt like nothing else in the world mattered except the two of us dancing.

After about an hour of dancing, we decide to take a break and go walk around with Phantom's arm around my waist. He talked with some people that I didn't know so I just stood there listening. As we walked around everyone got out of our way and was watching us the entire time even when we kissed. It felt really weird because I've never kissed Phantom in public before tonight.

We continued walking around and I see someone who looks like Abby. She waves at me, wait, that is Abby! I get out of Phantom's hold and run to her. When I get to her I give her a big hug. Phantom chuckles and walks over to us, "hey Abby thanks for coming."

Abby smiles "of course thanks for inviting us!"

I smile a bit confused "us? where's Greyson?"

She smiles "he couldn't make it today but..." she puts her hand on her stomach "someone else came with me today".

I gasp and smile and give her a big hug again. She laughs and hugs me back. Phantom smiles quietly while he watches us. I turn to look at him "is it ok if I go walk around with Abby?" He nods and gives me a kiss on the head.

I take Abby out of the ballroom and we start walking around. Apparently, she and Greyson are engaged now and got a new and bigger apartment. She was just over a month pregnant with their baby.

"So do you know if Phantom is going to propose to you? I mean he's clearly spoiling you. Just look at your outfit and your crown!"

I laugh "I have no idea but he keeps saying things like 'after we get married I'll get you this or we'll do this together' so I wouldn't be surprised if it's any day now."

"Well clearly you two are made for each other so I'm sure the wedding and your life will be beautiful and perfect."

I smile at her "thank you, Abby".

We were standing against a wall in the corridor w little away from everyone else. Suddenly we hear a different type of crowd noise. Abby and I walk closer to the door and I suddenly see who's at the door. It's Natemare and his group of renegades. I grab Abby's hand and start running with her. I take her to Phantom's office since it's close by. We move one of his coffee tables to in front of the door and hid while I explain what I know to Abby.

Phantom's perspective:

My criminal brother is here. I go to the door to try and keep him out but it's no use. One of his crew took their knife on my arm that cut my coat and shirt showing my arm. I look behind me and see my doll and Abby running out of the room. I mutter to myself 'good girl'. After I turn back to them I motion with my hand and everyone goes to the ballroom.

The other side of me takes over. My body turns black and ashy, my eyes turn red, and I grow larger.

With the touch of my finger, the woman who cut my shirt turns to ash. All of the other people that came with mare run away in fear. Mare just looks at me and says "I'll be back and next time I'll get what I want." He walks away and I return to my normal self. After I adjust myself I leave to find my doll.
