Chapter 21

Phantoms perspective:

I didn't want to tell my little doll this much about my past but I guess it's too late now. I was trying to get her in the mood so I can avoid this. Every time I get close to her and start grinding and kissing her neck she pushes me away.

This really annoys me but she can't see that part of me yet. To help calm me down I sit her down in my lap and hold onto her.

She looks at me with an adorable confused expression "so brother? I want an explanation". I sigh and nod.

"This is going to change almost everything you know about me. Are you sure you still want to know?"

I hope that that will make her change her mind. But nope she gives me a nod telling me to keep going. I hold her to my chest before talking.

"The first thing I should clarify is that I am much older than I originally told you. I'm not 29 like I told you. In fact, I'm closer to 29 thousand." Her face is one of complete confusion. I gently kiss her head before continuing.

"Mare and I are twins actually. We were close growing up. I never mentioned him to you though because he changed to a life of crime and I want nothing to do with him anymore."

She collects herself and finally whispers something out "is that why you were so mad?"

I nod and lay down with her on my chest "yeah it is, doll. I thought that he was going to take you away from me and I couldn't let him."

She nods and snuggles into me more. After a second she speaks up again "wait your immortal right?"

I nod "yeah pretty much." She nods and looks like she is thinking about stuff. I smile and move her hair out of her face. "Whatcha thinking about doll?"

"How will I live with you? I'm only a human and not immortal like you are."

"There's a process that will happen after we get married. No need to worry your precious little head over it." I pull the blanket up over us and kiss her forehead. "Get some sleep and we'll keep talking in the morning ok?" She lets out a soft 'ok" before she starts falling asleep.

Once she's finally asleep I watch her softly. I rub her back and give her soft kisses while I think of what to do now.
