Chapter 3: Sleep and morning fluff

After looking for a while for Bean to sleep Almond came to the conclusion he would have to share with him. He unwrapped him from his warm cozy blanket and layed him on his belly.

This made Bean scrunch up his face and fussed a little but almond rubbed his back and shushed him softly and gently hummed softly to soothe him and to get him to go to sleep.

Soon the very tiny baby fell asleep and Almond smiled and kisses his head softly and layed there thinking. 'Why would your mother give you to me?' thought in his head.

Almond continued to lay there and soon sleep finally overcame him and he fell asleep in bed too. As they slept a familiar figure watched with a smile and they soon left as they felt relieved.

"Please take care of our boy my darling~" they whispered and they took off in the night with a frown as tears fell from their face, they knew this was their only choice they had left.

'Pull yourself together Rougefort this is best for him' they thought that and stopped crying and smiled and went home without getting caught this time and cuddled close with their cat.

The next morning Almond woke up to something on his chest and he jumped awake and saw it was his daughter and the baby thankfully was still fast asleep on his belly.

This made him smile and kiss her head and she woke up with a smile. "Morning daddy" she whispered. "Morning Walnut~" Almond whispered back and he pat her head.

"Did you and the baby sleep well?" She asked with a smile "yes we did honey~" Almond replied and he got up and the baby stired and slowly opened his eyes and yawned hard.

"Morning Beanie" Walnut cooed and she grabbed him and held him close as he cooed softly. "Did you-ew you smell bad Beanie!" Walnut exclaimed and she covered her nose.

Bean only cooed at her and babbled as the foul smell was very strong. "Ew daddy he smells bad!" Walnut complained. "I know honey I got it~" Almond sighed softly.

He took the baby from her and noticed a package of baby supplies on the floor of his room. "Huh?" he read the note and smiled. 'Thought you will need this, let me know if u need more, Espresso'

This made Almond smile and he grabbed the wipes and a clean diaper and layed the baby on the bed and took off his onesie and diaper. "Ok little Bean I'll take...yuck! Bean!" He cried out

This only made Bean only cooed and sucked on his hand coating it in drool. This made the other two smile and Almond cleaned him up and put a new outfit on and Bean cooed softly.

"There we go nice and clean~" Almond said and he picked him up and held him close and they went into the kitchen to make some breakfast. "What shall we do for breakfast?" He asked his daughter.

"Ooo pancakes please!" Walnut said in excitement. "Of course honey" Almond said with a smile and he adjusted Bean and cooked up with no problem at all with one arm.

"Did you have to do that when I was a baby daddy?" Walnut asked as she helped him out. "Yup but I handled it well" Almond explained with a smile as Bean babbled and cooed softly.

This made Walnut think and sigh sadly and she felt her dad hug her tightly. "I know baby I miss her too sometimes" "I wish I could remember her" Walnut whispered softly.

This made Almond hug her tighter and they hugged and he comforted her for a while until she felt a lot better and Bean cooed softly and watched them with a curious expression.
