Chapter 7

Marshall pov

I watched Fionna leave my house. I couldn't believe that stunt she pulled with the syrup. It was fun getting to chase her around my house though. But when I had caught her I almost kissed her. I don't know why I did that. Its not like I liked her like that. But then what was that feeling that I briefly felt in my chest. It was the same as when I was carrying her back to my house while she slept. She had looked so cute. It reminded me of when I had carried her home when she was little.
I don't know why I was dwelling on this so much I had just started to talking to this human again. She wasn't a normal human though. She was different.

Fionna pov

I walked home and tried to sneak in without cake noticing. But I wasn't to successful at that.
"Where have you been I've been worried sick about you."
"I got really annoyed after leaving the candy kingdom."
"Why were you annoyed."
"Gumball called me there to tell me he liked me and asked me to be the princess of his kingdom."
"Oh my glob he did that's great what did you say."
" I yelled at him. Asked why he was asking me this now. And left all mad."
"Why I thought you liked him."
" No Cake I got over him at the beginning of this year."
"You did? but you really liked him."
"Yes I did but I got tired of being rejected when I told him I liked him. So I gave up up and got over him."
"Oh but then where were you." She said in a softer voice than last time.
"Like I was saying. I was walking out of the candy kingdom annoyed. When Marshall popped out of nowhere."
"Wait Marshall as in Marshall lee the vampire king.'
"Yeah why you know him?"
"No but I know of him. I don't think it's that good of an idea to hang out with him."
"Why?"
"He's no good honey."
I could really mad at that. Sure he threatened me when we first met but he was just messing around.
"He is not!"
"Fionna I know you might not think so but he is."
"No he isn't! You haven't even met him you wouldn't know!"
"I don't want you to get hurt."
"He wouldn't do that."
I stormed out of the tree house. I walked to I reached the tree line. I slumped down sitting on the ground behind the tree.I was hidden from view. I didn't know why what she had said made me so mad but it did. I couldn't let her talk bad about him. Cause he wasn't. He was actually really nice. When he wants to be.
I sat on the ground thinking about these things. Till I felt like someone was watching me. I opened my eyes and saw no one. I could have sworn. Wait a minute. I stuck my hand out and felt it bump into something.
"Marsh"
He turned himself visible. "How could you tell I was there. "
"I felt like someone was watching me. And knew you could turn invisible."
He laughed a bit "Guess I will have to be more careful if I want to surprise you."
"How did you know where I was."
" I didn't. I just saw you there and wanted to see if I could scare you."
"We're you already starting to miss me."
He looked away for a second like he was trying to hide a blush. "No I just happened to be in the woods. I saw you there looking upset so I figured I would come see what's wrong."
"Oh it's nothing."
He stopped floating and sat next to me. He bumped me with his shoulder.
"Come on you can tell me."
I kind of didn't want to because I felt like it would be embarrassing. Especially since it was about him.
"When I got home. I kind of got yelled at by cake. After I explained what happened we got into a big argument because she doesn't like me hanging out with you. She thinks your no good."
"Well she is right I'm not good."
I looked at him not believing. "Thats not true. Your to nice."
"Shut up, am not."
I laughed a bit "You are."
"Only to you and I'm not even that nice to you."
Something vibrated. He pulled out his phone from his pocket.
"Oh I got to go. I see you later." he said then got up and flew away.
I watched him go then went back to tree house.
