Chapter 1

Fionna pov

I woke up and stretched. Today was different from most days. Cake had planned out a big surprise for me at the candy kingdom. I was a bit suspicious and was just hoping it wasn't another boring ball.
I went downstairs following the heavenly scent coming from the kitchen. I saw Cake downstairs making bacon pancakes.
She slid some to me on a plate.
"So are you finally going to tell me what were doing today at the candy kingdom."
"Nope you will get to see we when we get there."
"I want to go on a adventure today."
"Make sure you back at six so I get you ready In time."
"Ok you wanna come to."
" Can't I have a date with Lord M."
"Ok "
I was a little disappointed that she wasn't going to come but you know.
I waved bye to cake and grabbed my bag with my retractable sword. I had heard that there was a really cool dungeon near the dark woods. But I hadn't been able to find it yet.
I searched all the area near the dark forest. But haven't been able to find it. I was about to just cut my loses and explore the dark forest itself when I noticed the time. It was 5:50. Cake would get mad at me if I was late.
Right when I was about to leave when I could have sworn I saw something. Well more like someone. But then person vanished and was gone.
I hurried back home to cake. After getting their she went straight to work. She made me wear a blue dress with a halter top. And as much as I didn't like wearing dresses this one was ok. She did my make up putting a few different things on. Didn't remember all of them but I remember her saying something about mascara and eye shadow. She then curled my hair. and put it in a wavy ponytail so It didn't drape on the ground.
When it seemed she was done with me I asked.
"Ok Cake are you finally going to tell me what it is that were going to?"
"It's the candy Kingdom.'
I rolled my eyes"I already know know that. What are we going to be doing there. Is it another ball?" I said with a annoyed look on my face.
"This one is going to be different!"
"Hah so it is a ball. how is it going to be different."
"I can't tell you that. But your going to find out soon enough."
She grabbed my hand and we went outside. She stretched all big and put me on her back. A few minutes later we were at the candy kingdom doors.
I went to pull open the big doors and noticed it was dark in the room.
I nearly jumped when I heard all of them yell surprise.
"What's this for."
I saw Gumball walk out from the crowd. "We were talking and thought of all the things you had done for this kingdom. And we also wanted to thank you for that."
"So you decided to throw me a ball."
"More than just that. We decided to make you a princess."
I thought for a minute. there wasn't any princess in aaa just princes. And I didn't really want to be one. Would I have Royal buzz I would have to worry about to then.
"It's ok I'm good.'
"No we insist." he said as he grabbed a silver tiara off a pillow one the candy citizens was holding.
It was a pretty tiara it had a leaf design and a pretty blue stone in the middle.
He placed it on my head. "You can now be Fionna the warrior princess."
My face was probably a bit red. I didn't like being center of attention. I never have been.
"Well lets celebrate. Bring out the cake."
Music started playing and out the cake was brought out a minute later. it was huge. It had to at least be ten layers high. People were so distracted be it they took their attention off me. For which I relived.
I walked over to cake. "Did they offer to make you a princess to."
"Yes but I declined."
"What is that why you made this a surprise."
" Yes they really wanted to do something nice for you and this is the only way I could think of that would make you accept."
I gave her a I'm so going to get you back for this stare. And she just laughed.
"Try to enjoy yourself you just might have some fun." She yelled then disappeared into the crowd.
I held in a grown. Gumball was nice but the parties/balls he threw were usually really boring. And this one didn't seem to different. At least he wasn't serving tea and crumpets this time.
I went to go get some strawberries from the table. the strangest thing happened though. I set them down for a second and when I turned back to them and half of them were grey.
"What"
I picked up one of them and looked it over. It looked fine. I popped it into my mouth. It tasted fine to.
Weird I thought.
I looked for anything strange around the room but didn't notice anything out of place.
I went outside and just sat on the castle steps. I needed some air.
I was going to back inside when I felt something cold and next thing I saw was blackness.
