Chapter 8

Fionna pov

The next day.

Cake and I were called to the candy kingdom again. Something I didn't really want to do fearing it would be awkward. But he said it was important and that it had to do with the safety of the people of the candy kingdom. So I had to go.
We got there and found Gumball in his lab. "We have been getting strange reports lately."
"Of what" cake asked.
"Candy people have been saying they have been seeing weird things."
"Like what."
"Buildings would get damaged in the middle of the night. Some reports of them swearing they had seen someone practicing magic. Nothing bad has happened yet so you don't have to worry about it but I figured I would let you know."
"Well thanks. Was that all you needed."
"Yep"
I walked back out of the castle. Cake had decided she was going to hang out with Mochro. I was gonna go on a adventure by myself but then I saw a flame on the ground. One that looked like it was heading straight for me. I stared at it as it approached. It stopped at my feet then changed into a guy I recognized.
"Hey flame prince."
"Hey Fionna."
"What are you doing here."
"Got bored and I saw you as I was passing bye. What are you doing here."
"Someone been threatening the candy kingdom citizens and Gumball called me in to tell me that."
"Oh you know what we should do we should do?" flame prince said.
"What?"
"Stake out."
"What" I laughed.
"Have a stake out like we used to. To catch the perp."
"Why not." I said.
We went to the store , got snacks and drinks. we climbed a building tall enough to see everything from but not to hard to get down from. Incase we saw him and had to chase after him.
We watched the streets for hours. Looking for signs of anyone suspicious. I saw a candy guy in a trench coat. We interrogated him but it turned out not to be him. The sun had set two hours ago and now the only light present was flame prince.
I turned to him and said.
"I don't think we're going to catch this guy today." He gave a slightly disappointed sigh.
"But this was fun."
He smiled again and his flame got brighter again. "It was fun!"
I looked back out at the darkened sky and said "I should get home so Cake is probably worried."
I climbed back down the building and headed to my house.

First thing I want to say is sorry once again for taking long to publish this update. And that is a filler chapter but I promise the next chapter is going to be better. Ive got a good idea for it.
