Chapter 12

Fionna pov

I didn't think my cheeks would ever cool off as I walked back to the tree house.
I decided not to think about it much as I headed back into the tree house. I was prepared to be assaulted by questions from cake as soon as I stepped in but when I walked in all I saw that she was lying on the couch asleep.
I quietly snook to my bedroom. I had no idea what I was going to do today but I was just planning on taking it easy. Whether or not that would actually happen I had no idea but that was my goal for today.
Geez I felt super lazy just thinking that. I decided to change out of the jeans I had been given and into a pair of my own Jean shorts. Because they kept unrolling and I kept stepping on them. I left the shirt on tho cause It was cute and I liked it.
I stared at the tiara on my nightstand and decided to wear something I hadn't in a while. I had to dig a while to find it but I managed to produce my bunny eared headband. My old friend I thought with a laugh I still remember when cat made me this because she said I wore my bunny hat to often. I brushed my hair and put my ears in place.
I heard a knock on the door snapping my out of my thoughts. I walked to the door and saw someone I wasn't expecting to see.
"Flame prince"
"Uh hi Fionna"
"What are you doing here."
"I umm I wanted to come over here to see if you were doing anything today."
I wondered why Flame prince seemed so nervous. He almost seemed a little fidgety to.
"Yeah Im not doing anything today."
He smiled a bit at that.
"Do you want to go out and do something then."
"Why not I've got nothing going on."
"Really awesome." He said super excitedly his flame grew a bit at that moment and hit the top of the tree house door.
"Sorry" he said.
"Ah it's seen worse. Let's go."
We walked for a little bit.
"So what did you have in mine for today." I said.
"Nothing really special I just thought we could adventure like we used to maybe raid a dungeon or something i heard there's this one that's no one's been able to get the treasure from ."
"That sounds awesome."
* Time skip*
We had arrived at the dungeon it had taken a little bit to get here but it was only like 2 hours away from my house. We had so far fought through the weak small fry at the beginning of the dungeon and we're now at the last room before we got our loot. There was only one thing standing in our way now. Two over sized green goblin looking monsters. Really cheesy looking ones with only loin cloths on.
"So how do you want to go about this." Flame prince asked.
"Well you could draw there attention with a big fire blast and I could sneak under the radar, go around and surprise attack them from the back. " I said while drawing a diagram in the dirt with my finger.
"Sounds good." He said then we went to attack.
Flame prince jumped out and shot fire At one and I ran towards the others but stopped when I noticed something weird.
It wasn't flinching at all or even trying to attack. I walked up to one and went to poke it with my sword ,but instead of it stopping it, it just went through.
I waved my sword around a bit and that area of the picture freaked out a bit then went back to normal when I stopped.
"Hey Fp."
"What"
"I think there holograms."
"Wait what"
He stopped shooting fire and proceed to poke one.
"Weird why do you think they would have a hologram out here."
"I don't know maybe to scare off people that are to chicken to fight." I said and laughed.
I pushed open the door and walked in to see a chest sitting on a raised platform. I was a little dissapointed there wasn't a big boss fight but hey free treasure. I couldnt see why no one had been able to get this yet.
"Fionna wait." I heard him say as I put my hand on the chest.
Treasure was right there within my grasp couldn't he wait in till we had gotten the treasure to tell me whatever. I walked away from the chest and back to flame prince.
"What Fp can't you see the treasure is right there." I whined a little bit.
"Yeah but I wanted to say something first.
I sighed "What is it."
"Why don't we do this as often as we use to. I mean we used to be really close."
"I don't know flame prince maybe because when we hung out you'd always get over excited and burn me somehow."
"You stopped hanging out with me as much because you were obsessed with spending time with gumball back then." he said grabbing my hand "And I've been practicing controlling my flames temperature so I don't burn people or things."
I was expecting to feel pain when he grabbed my hand but his hand only felt really warm.
"So please don't leave me behind anymore. I miss my friend Fionna." He said then pulled me into a hug.
"I'm sorry Flame prince. I didn't realize I was making you feel this way. I'll try ok."
"That's all I want."
He let go and I started to walk back to the chest.
"So why did you choose to say that now." I said trying to lighten the mood.
"Well I know how you are when It comes to treasure. You'll get all excited about the new cool things you've found and won't be able to focus on anything else for a while."
I opened the chest while he was speaking but was hit in the face with this weird purple dust that made my sight go kinda blurry.
I stood up and wiped my eyes trying to get them to refocus.
"Fionna you okay."
"Yeah I should be fine."
The room began to shake. A little bit and then I think the wall opened revealing a hidden door. It was hard to tell though because my sight still wasn't clearing up. OK this wasn't normal bit I should still be fine right.
Out came an actual goblin like creature but he was bigger than the holograms outside. I went to lift my sword but found my arms not wanting to cooperate. They felt heavy and I couldn't hold up my sword.
"Fiona are you ok." I heard fp say but his voice was starting to sound like an echo.
I looked back up and saw that the monster split into two but one changed colors and became red.
"What"
I went to step away from the chest and the monster that was coming closer but I forgot about the stairs and ended up tripping down them. I dropped my sword and landed a couple of feet away from Fp. It almost felt like I fell on something but I couldn't even feel the pain from my fall.
"Fiona." I heard him say but it sounded very distant and kind of far off even tho he was in front of my face. He had split into two flame prince's to only one was yellow and the other was red.
I laughed a little everyone was mutiplying. They tried to move me but failed for some reason. I'm mean come on their two of you now. You should be able to move me I'm not that heavy.
I saw there lips move but I couldn't hear what they were saying anymore. In fact I could barely see them to when did it get so dark in this cave.
Their lips moved one more time and Then they ran away. I tried moving my head to look at where they went but I couldn't. With them gone it was just really dark now in till all I Could see was black.

Ok I'm just gonna apologize for being a horrible person and making you guys wait *bows in apology* but my authors note here won't be long because Im already am starting on my next chapter.
