Taming the king

Chapter 14

Fionna Pov

I woke up in my bedroom. What was I doing in here? Last time I checked I was passing out in a dungeon after finding who knows what in a chest.
     I looked around but I didn't see anyone. Was that whole thing just a dream. I went to sit up almost feel right back down cause my limbs still felt heavy. I decided to check myself over and found that I had bandages on my arms and a few on my legs.
      I had figured out that it defiantly wasn't a dream and I'm a more injured than I remember to. Well thats one of my many questions answered now at least.
   "Your probably confused"
   "I looked up and saw Damion there holding a cup of tea."
   "Yeah I defiantly have a few questions."
   "Well I can probably answer most of them."
   "Really" I said perking up then regretting it because my limbs still felt heavy as all balls.
   "Yes but you might wanna drink this first it should help get rid of any lingering side effects from that powder."
   He handed me the cup and I drank some of it. I could already feel it working. I felt like I would be able to move freely again. He told me I should drink the whole cup to make sure which I begrudgingly agreed to since it was super bitter.
   "So what happened after I was knocked out."
   "Basically what your friend told me is he beat the monster and carried you to Marshalls tree line through the rain. I don't know if he knew it was his tree line but that's when we ran into him and you in your comatose state and offered to help."
    "Oh I still have a few questions though."
    "Like what. If your curious where your stuff is its over here. It's still a little wet though."
    "What was that stuff in the chest that knocked me out."
    "It doesn't exactly have a name in your language but it kind of like choloform except it lasts and leaves the intented victims knocked out in till an antadote is admistered."
    "Then did you give me an antidote."
    "Well your awake aren't you?"
    Well I guess that did make sense but he didn't have to be a smart ass about it though. I guess he is the reason I'm awake know so I guess I can't be to annoyed with him.
   "How do you know how to do all this."
   "When you've lived as long as I have Fionna you pick up on a few things. And maybe because I was kind of like a doctor when I  lived in the nightosphere. I didn't really treat patients but I studied plants and herbs and have a basic understanding of medicine."
   " I believe I only have one question left then."
"Shoot"
"If I was carried through the rain then why aren't my clothes wet. You didn't....."
"Before you jump to conclusions no I didn't change you. Unlike Marshall I'm not pervy like that. Your sister cake did but then had to leave because she said something about her babies being sick. She didn't want to leave you either but she realized there was nothing she could do."
     "Speaking of Marshall I should probably call him and let him know how your doing and about this." He said pulling out a phone about to walk away.
  But before he could I grabbed a hold of his sleeve and stopped him.
  "What I thought you didn't have anymore questions."
  "I don't. I just wanted to tell you thank you. I mean you didn't have to do this but you did and without really having being asked to. So thanks I appreciate it."
    He looked surprised by this in fact he was blushing just a little bit to. Had no one ever really thanked him before.
    "No problem." He said then walked out of the room phone next to his ear.
I heard a Hey Marsh after he left the room but then he left my ear shot.
   I sat in my room and looked  over my wrapped arms. They didn't really hurt all that much well except maybe one or two of them. I went to pull up a little on one of the ones that stung. I took off the bandage to see a pretty decent burn there.
  I wondered why something like this would be there. I tried thinking through my foggy memories after I got sprayed with that dust. I couldn't come up with much till I remembered me laughing about Flame prince not being able to move me. Oh it makes sense now. It's not that he couldn't move me. This mark on my arm shows that he tried but ended up just burning me in the process.
    I guess some things don't change. I said then laughed a little.
*Flash back*
5 years ago.
"Fionna come on are we going to explore or not."
"Yeah just give me a second." I said as I was climbing a tree. I had seen something shimmering in this tree when we're where walking by and I was determined to have it.
"I Can just burn part of the tree so it falls down and  you can get it easier."
"But it might damage the shiny thing."
   I had climbed to the top of the tree and grabbed my prize. It was a golden leaf. I don't know how this was even possible but it was awesome.
"Hey Fp look." I said showing off my golden leaf.
I held it out for him to see but I lost my balance and ended up falling off the tree.
"Fionna!"
I was expecting a hard Landing but when I looked up I saw Flame prince had caught me.
"Are you ok Fionna"
"Yes but could you put me down this is starting to hurt."
"Oh crap sorry " he said and put me down.
"Oww." I said looking at the newly forming burn on my leg and arm.
" I'm sorry I didn't mean to burn you."
"It's Ok because this is alright." I said pulling my gold leaf out again.
*Flash Back end*
"Hey why did you unwrap it." I heard a voice say. I looked back up and saw Damion was back in the room along with Marshall now.
"I was curious why this one hurt more than the others."
"Well you really should leave it alone." Damion said as he preceded to put some more cream on it then re- wrap it.
"Ok Mom"  I teasingly said.
He gave me this weird look and Marshall just laughed.
