Chapter 17 (part 3)

“What?!” I shouted slamming my fists down on the table “who’s got Lance” I growled, I couldn’t stop myself from half shifting as my anger consumed me, trying to calm down I dug my claws into the table while trying to steady my breathing “Taylor just breath” Kali said gingerly placing her hand on my back like she was afraid I would rip it off “I’m trying” I sighed as I slumped back into my chair “who took him and why” I said more calmly “Lance’s old clouder wasn’t too happy with him upping and leaving like I did, from what I’ve heard they had a meeting with the blood pack, that’s what Lance was going to see the leader about, turns out it was a trap, they teamed up with the blood pack and took him, we got a message from them a moment ago, there trying to get us to disband the clan or they’ll kill Lance” Amber explained, they all looked worried, after my initial out burst I’d calmed down considerably and was thinking a lot clearer, without saying a word I got up and walked over to a chest on the floor, opening it I got out the robe and trouser’s, putting them on sat back down “that won’t be happening, get everyone ready, I want to know were there holding him, how many of them there are and what’s the best route to take for a surprise attack” I ordered, they all stood there dumb stuck “what the fuck are you waiting for!” I shouted, it seemed to work as they scrambled out of the door.

An hour or so after giving the order’s everything was ready, Kali had headed a scout unit to track down were Lance had been taken, she reported back that he was in blood pack territory being held in one of there pack members houses, it was isolated and well guarded by members of the blood pack and Lances old clouder, the isolation was supposed to work in there favour but a plan had been put into place, it was going to be there down fall, Kali and her group of scouts had searched around the perimeter of the houses in every direction in a three mile radius, they had no back up, a second and third party of scouts had been dispatched to keep an eye on the blood packs main houses and Lances old clouder in case the one’s who were guarding Lance tried calling for backup, Joe had rounded up all the elite fighter’s and briefed them on the situation, while Amber had done the same with the other warriors, I paced my office as I waited for Joe and Amber to tell me that there units were ready to move, Kali was propped against my desk watching me “you need to stop worrying, Lance is strong willed, he’s been caught by worse people than these guy’s, I don’t think they could do worse to him either” she said trying to calm me down “it doesn’t matter weather or not he’s strong, it’s the fact that he warned me about the blood pack, I shouldn’t have waited to take them out, I should have just done it as soon as they reached there territory, as for Lance’s old clouder, it makes my blood boil that they could join forces with such filth” I growled still pacing back and forth “Lance was one of that clouders strongest members, with out him there pretty much defenceless, it was a move of desperation, they probably figured that because they didn’t have an alliance with you that you would take over there territory, which makes sense, you’ll have to expand sooner or later, once pack’s and clouders further out start hearing about you and this clan you’ll have more people wanting to join, which mean’s more people to house, which in turn mean’s a bigger territory” Kali explained, I slumped down into the chair behind my desk, shifting form’s so that I was more comfortable, I’d found out a few day’s ago that when I shifted the robe and trouser’s shifted with me so that I only had to get a top on myself, I rested my head on the palm of my hand, Kali came to stand in front of me, she put her hand under my chin and tipped my head back so that I was looking at her “stop worrying” she said before leaning forward and kissing me “dude’s stop sucking faces already” Joe said as she walked into my office “the troops are ready sergeant” she said jokingly “right, let’s get this show on the road then shall we” I said looking at Joe and Kali.

Standing in front of the clans fighters I looked at all of them before speaking “the blood pack clan and a clouder of werecat’s have joined together to try and make us disband, they’ve taken one of the founding members hostage to reinforce this demand, our aim is to take them by surprise and rescue him, then we will regroup and hit the blood pack’s territory then the clouders territory” most of the fighter’s were getting hyped up about the up coming fight, the mood was infectious as even Joe and Amber seemed eager to charge into battle  “I’ll only say this once you are too only act on your commander’s orders, anyone who disobeys these orders will be punished, do you all understand?” I shouted over the exited murmurs, a chant of yes’s met me, just as I was about to give the order to move out I noticed that everyone had gone quite as they all stood looking at me, in unison the fighter’s all knelt down and bowed there head’s “for the clan, for her majesty, we shall concur” they shouted before standing back up and pumping there fists in the air while roaring and shifting form’s, I half shifted “let’s show those fucker’s what we’re made of” I shouted back.
