I woke up the next day and got ready for school, putting on a simple black t-shirt and baggy jeans as it was sunny outside. I grabbed my bag and slung it over my shoulder as I walked out of my bedroom door.

Just like the day before, I stood at the curb and waited for the school bus to arrive. While I was waiting, I constantly glanced at the bored of the woods. The uneasy feeling had gone all together, but the feeling of being watched hadn’t for some reason, it didn’t bother me now. I slipped my headphones on and started listening to Breaking Benjamin. Looking around, I slid behind the same bush as yesterday. I’d made sure to get out earlier than yesterday. After having my cig, I straightened up and looked down the road; the bus seemed to take forever. As soon as the bus rolled in front of me, I got on and suppressed a groin. It was as packed as the day before. Looking around, I couldn’t help but curse my luck, the only seat was next to emo band dude who had been sitting behind compact mirror bitch the day before. Calmly walking over, I sat down and dumped my bag next to my feet.

“Hay, I don’t think I’ve seen you around before.” Emo band dude said after I’d taken my headphones off. “Is that Breaking Benjamin your listening too?!” emo dude said excitedly, I kind of gave him a sideways glance.

“Yeah, you heard of them before?” I genuinely wanted to know now; I hadn’t met anyone who listened to them.

“I went to one of there concerts, it was awesome, names Deane, so what’s yours?” He was actually being nice. I don’t know why I thought he wouldn’t be, probably because he was friends with compact mirror bitch.

“Name’s Taylor or Tay, which ever you prefer.” I offered my hand and was surprised when he moved it so that he could give me high five instead.

“Tay-Tay it is then.” Deane said with a big smile. “And just so you know, I don’t do hand shake’s or hug’s, so just give me five when you see me.” I couldn’t help but laugh at him.

“No one’s ever called me Tay-Tay before, sounds kind of cool actually” I offered him one of my head phones as I pressed play on my mp3 player, we sat like that for half of the journey.

We were interrupted when compact mirror bitch turned around in her seat and pulled our headphones out. “What you guys listening too?” she said in a preppy voice with a big smile.

“Sis, you are so god damned rude, it’s unbelievable.” Deane said, prompting a surprised look from me.

“You two are siblings?” I squeaked out.

“Unfortunately, Tay, meet my annoying twin sis, Joe.” Deane said with a flick of the hand in Joe's direction

“Hay! I am not annoying.” Joe stated rather loudly then turned to me with a sheepish smile. “Sorry about what I said yesterday, I was in a bad mood.” Thrusting her hand in my direction, she said, “Can we just forget that ever happened and start over as friends?”

Taking her hand I smiled. “Sure, I guess I should stop thinking of you as compact mirror bitch then.” Deane snorted from beside me. When we both looked at him, he started laughing, prompting me and Joe to burst out laughing too.

“I take it you’ve met each other before then.” Deane said after we’d all calmed down.

“Yeah, we met yesterday.” Joe said casually putting her arms over the back of her seat so she could talk to us.

We chatted about nothing in particular for the rest of the bus journey to school. Deane, did in fact, have a band and Joe was on the schools girls’ soccer team. They told me about all the after school activities I could sign up for and Joe wanted me to try out for the soccer team, I said I’d see about it.
