Wanter by Hunter Hayes
Sofiah
I think I'm in love with him. We sat in the kitchen hugging for a good thirty minutes. His arms around my waist made me feel protected, his head in the crook of my neck made me feel loved.
He kept pulling me closer and closer to him to the point where I was no longer sitting on the bar stool next to him I was standing. As he pulled away I looked at his smiling face.
"Thanks Sofi." Jack laughed wiping his face on the sleeve of his button up.
"I'm sorry. I've seriously never cried in front of anyone before." I laughed as I wiped my own face, "It's okay I don't think your any less of a man!"
I smiled and turned walking away to get us glasses from the cabinet. Jack walked up behind me as I got the glasses out of the cabinet, wrapping his arms around my waist he kissed the side of my head.
"I'm really happy I came back with the guys. I realized that even though my family sucks. I still have people that care about me. Thank you so much."
Jack
Sofi laid her head back after I kissed her temple her eyes were closed and puffy from crying. I'd seriously never cried in front of anyone before.
I usually saved that for when I was in the shower, because at least there water was already hitting my face.
"I'm really happy I came back with the guys. I realized that even though my family sucks. I still have people that care about me. Thank you so much." I said as I released her and grabbed myself a glass for water.
"Jack? Do you like motorcycles?" I turned to face her as I smiled and nodded. "Well we have a few in the garage, we can go for a ride if you want? We can ask my brothers if they wanted to go too?"
I was about to respond when Stefan walked into the kitchen. "Sofiah are you okay?" He looked distraught at his twin sister. Sofi smiled wide at her brother and nodded.
"Are you sure? You look like you have been crying." I looked away hoping he couldn't see my tear stained face.
Quickly I began to wash my hands before grabbing a paper towel to dry them wiping my face with the damp paper after.
"That's because I was crying then Jack came in and gave me a hug and we talked a little. I'm fine though bro..." She smiled at me as I mouthed a Thank you.
"So Sof, you were saying something about motorcycles?" I said as I downed the cup of water I had filled. Before refilling it and handing it to her.
Stefan
She had been crying. And from the looks of it he had been too. I just didn't point that part out. He loved her I could see it in the way he looked at her. I know he would never hurt her but I also didn't fully like the idea of them together.
"So Sof, you were saying something about motorcycles?" She lit up at the mention of the street bikes in the garage.
"Yea we have like six of them in the garage. Stef go tell the boys to be ready in an hour we are going riding!" She said smiling as she began to walk out of the kitchen. "Let's meet in front of the garage yea?" With that she walked out of the room. Jack let out a sigh and then laughed.
"Do you like her?" I looked at him questioningly. "Uh.. Yea why wouldn't I she's your sister?!" Jack stated a bit defensive. "Mean do you find my kid sister attractive?"
I was shocked at my own bluntness as the words came out of my mouth. Jack choked on the water he was drinking.
"It's okay man. She likes you too. I can see it in the way she looked at you when I walked into the kitchen. It's the same way she looked at you in my dads study. The same way my parents looked at each other."
I walked over to Jack who still seemed to be awe struck. "It's okay, you have my blessing. Just don't hurt my kid sister... Marine or not I'll kick your ass!"
I laughed as I walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs to change for the ride we were going on.
