Stefan
After the police officers took statements from all of us in the penthouse and left the girls decided to make breakfast while we spoke with the building manager and the maintenance team to fix the personal elevator and the one outside the main door. Once everything was cleared up and after an hour or so of repairs and upgrades the building staff was on their way. We finished up breakfast and cleaning, and after goodbyes to all our friends we got back to the house around lunch time.
"Well guys I'd love to stick around but I have to go get ready for an interview I have tomorrow so I think I'll just go." Charlie smiled hugging Sofi and waving at the rest of us as she jogged out of the garage. "Is she always like that?" Jack laughed putting away his helmet and jacket. "Sadly yes, she's a very strange girl..."
"Can you not talk about my only girl friend that way Stefan its mean, and frankly I don't like it very much." Sofi punched my arm smiling as she walked out of the garage into the house muttering something about making lunch for a house of garbage disposal men. We laughed venturing into the courtyard, this has always been my favorite part of this house, I remember being a little kid and running around with Sofi while my mom worked on her garden. Over the years we've maintained the over 60 varieties of flora in the garden. Sofi has much more of a green thumb than I do.
I think back to yesterday watching how Jack took care of Sofi like he just knew everything he was doing would calm her. No one has ever been able to do that before and I applaud him for that. "Stefan. . ." I'm brought out of my thoughts at the sound of my name. "Huh? Yea what's up?" "Sofi said you have a phone call. Better get I there it seemed pretty important." Nodding at my brother I make my way back up to the house.
"Who is it Sofia?" The look on her face made my heart pound and caused a lump to form in my throat. "You ass hole, when were you planning on telling me that you were leaving?!" My stomach dropped, it was the internship I applied for in Europe, I applied thinking they would choose someone else to go. "I'm sorry Sofia I didn't think I would get it." Her anger flared as she forcefully threw the phone at me and walked out of the room. Hearing the door shut behind me I realized my brothers and Jack had followed me in. "What's she talking about Stefan?"
I shook my head, "an architecture internship in Europe," bringing the phone to my ear I listened to the man on the other end of the phone explaining what I would be doing, when I leave, as well as my income for the duration of my trip.
Jack
Listening to Stefan on the phone I noticed Sofi walking up the stairs and decided to see how she was doing. Leaving the kitchen I jogged up the back stairs to meet her in the hallway. "Sofi are you alright?" Her eyes welled up with tears as she collapsed in my arms shaking her head. "He's leaving... Am I an awful sister? Why do they all leave?" Holding her close I walked her to her room. "Sofi he's coming back. Steven and Sebastian are back don't worry honey it's okay." Her sobs deepened when we reached her bed. Sitting her down I ran to her bathroom for a warm washcloth.
Wiping her tears and runny makeup from her face i couldn't help but to think how amazing the woman in front of me was and or how much I already loved her.
