Chapter 10 I'll Be Fine

Jack

"I'll go home with Sofiah." I said motioning to the traumatized young woman next to me. I was really pissed off about that guy trying to touch her that I was completely ready to hunt him down.

"I'll be okay guys I just want to go back to the apartment I'm tired and a little cold." Sofiah said as she started taking her hair out of its bun. She flinched as she lifted her left arm that's when I noticed her bruised shoulder. I want to kill that SOB!

"Are you guys sure? We can just all go home together?" Charlie smiled as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Richard spoke next with a suggestion. "Why don't you guys take my Honda so that we can take your landrover? We can all just crash at the apartment after."

I liked that idea. I could take Sofi home and not have to worry so much about the rest of the group.

"Yea why don't we do that Sofi here's your purse thingie. And you have the truck keys." Stefan stepped towards Sofi handing her the tiny purse, as Sofi opened it producing the keys and handing them to Richard. He then produced another set of keys handing them to me.

"Thanks, we'll be fine guys you all go." I said looking around our group that had gotten a bit bigger when Richard, his girlfriend, and his sister joined us.

Fifteen minutes later I had Sofi in my arms bridal style as the elevator made its was to the top floor. "Jack? Where are we?" She looked so beautiful and peaceful.

"The elevator. Sweetie it's okay you can go back to sleep." I smiled at her as she placed her head back on my shoulder, she looked so hot I was losing my mind!

'Stop thinking that way! She's your bestfriends little sister you shouldn't have feelings like this!' I kept repeating the same words over and over in my head as I placed Sofi in her bed.

"Jack? Please don't leave me?" Sofi sat up as I began to walk out of her room. "I can't Sof if I stay won't ever want to leave." I turned and walked out of the room.

Before I made it to the guest room Sofi's arms snaked around my waist as she began to speak into my back. "I owe you an explanation." To what exactly? I wondered to myself as I turned to face the small woman wrapped around me. "Sofiah? What do you mean?"

Looking up at me she started talking quickly. "I should probably explain why I flipped out at the club when that guy started trying to grind up on me."

It didn't matter why she flipped, all that mattered to me was that she was safe and I was the one who made her safe. "Honey, you don't need to explain. It's okay"

"No Jack please let me tell you." Looking into her eyes I noticed that she wanted to cry but held back her tears. I nodded as she began to explain.

"Freshmen year of college I was attacked. There were two men and one of them I managed to beat but the other tried to rape my in the parking lot... The man at the club... He, uh, he, well, he was one of the men. The one I beat up."

Fuck! I should have killed him! I knew I had weird vibe!!! Cursing to myself I pulled her closer. "Oh Sofi! You listen to me. I will NEVER EVER let any one hurt you honey. I promise!"

'Why do I feel so drawn to her? It's like she's my other half. The piece to complete my puzzle.' Asking myself questions and thinking of the many I wanted to ask the beautiful woman in my arms. I let her go and slid my hand from her shoulder to her hand.

It felt so small in mine, so soft, so beyond perfect. "Will you sleep with me Jack? Please?"

Sofiah

"Will you sleep with me Jack? Please?" Why on earth was I asking him that? He wouldn't want to sleep with me! I was so stupid!!! Why didn't I have a damn filter!

"Yea, if you want me too" Jack smiled warmly at me as he walked back towards my room. Once we got there I began to freak! What's he going to wear?! " I, uh, I'm going to change. Do you uh, umm, need anything?"

Looking over at Jack he just smiled. "No Sof it's okay, you go ahead and change." Turning I walked into my closet grabbing a black tank and some mesh shorts. Pulling them on I threw my dress into the hamper and placed my shoes back on the rack.

"You okay?" Jack asked ad I walked back into the room. "Uh, yeah!" I said a little to cheerfully. Jack chuckled as he folded his jeans and placed them on my desk chair.

He looked so perfect in his wife beater and his boxers. All I wanted to do was kiss his lips and down his neck and torso. Cursing to myself I made my way to the bed climbing in.

"Uh sofi? How do you want me to sleep?" I looked up a little confused at first. "Well you get under the covers and lay your head on the pillow?" I answered as Jack blushed a little.

"Well duh! But are you okay with this?" I giggled as I pulled back the covers on my left side grabbing both his hands and pulling him into the bed.

"Yes, I'm okay with this." Laying back I slowly inched towards towards until he turned to face me sliding his left arm under my neck and placing the other around my small waist.

The last thing I heard before I drifted to sleep Jacks promise. "I'll keep you safe Sofi, I promise baby."

Sorry for the short chapter. I'm exhausted! I went to a wedding tonight! It was so cute! I love weddings!!!!
