✿ Background ✿

Like most Magicians and witches his age, Bastille lost his parents in the same conflict that Diana Foxhill lost her mother in. Growing up as an orphan, Bastille was pushed between foster-families and labour-work. Manipulated by his former Coven leader he was abused and used for illegal training in black-magic and blood-magic which essentially cost many young students that trained alongside Bastille their lives. When he realised he was used for illegal reasons, Bastille plotted with other older coven members to assassinate the former coven leader. Bastille did not expect to be chosen as the new one when aged barely 18 years old.

While good at heart, Bastille puts the needs of his coven above those of outsiders. Independent- self-efficient and responsible Bastille also takes special care of orphaned young magicians, mages and witches but leaves them with a free choice to choose the coven they want to serve later.

He appreciates the quality of magical abilities and therefore trains his students with certain precision and strictness. Ever since given the lead of the coven, Bastille spent most of his blood, sweat and tears in it and therefore has learnt his lesson and consequences and is unwelcoming to outsiders that want to give him advice. He has bathed in control since almost a decade and doesn't want to relinquish said control easily.

He's forceful, hesitating to show qualities such as tenderness and a feeling of tact. Although seen joined hip by hip with Nerys, Bastille made it clear that their relationship is based on business only. Nerys was brought to Bastille after a group of young mages found her beside the trash. With no recollection of her identity Bastille took care of Nerys, nursed her wounds and trained her in her very advanced abilities that went out of control due to said memory loss.

Although Black-Magic and Blood-Magic were blacklisted centuries ago, Bastille is one of few magicians able to wield this magic, although he refuses to give this knowledge to anyone else or training anyone in it. 

He commands other magic such as the four elements, shadow and simple Enchantments.
