"I have no idea what you are talking about Stefan" I replied, getting off the couch and looking around to see if I left anything behind. When turned to face him, he was standing right in front of me. "I have to go" . He caught my arm and stared at me.

"Look at me" he ordered. I looked away. "If you want us to trust you, you have to stop lying"

"When did I lie?" I asked, offended.

"You have secrets. You cannot keep secrets and expect us to trust you" he said and crossed his arms.

I sighed. "You are right, I'm sorry. You know Stefan, you have always been the understanding one. Yes, you kind of forced your brother to become a vampire, but you are a good guy" I took a step away from him as I continued, "But look what he is today. Nobody can help him. He is arrogant, rude, egoistic, mean, maybe good looking" . Now, I was just a step away from the door. Yeah, I took long steps, that's one advantage girls with height above 5ft have. They can reach places within seconds. "Anyway" I huffed. "See ya later" I smiled and turned around quickly and opened the door.

"Hello-oh!" Damon greeted. I froze. "Leaving so soon, little Ms. I don't know you, but I will judge you?" he smirked and then gritted his teeth taking a step forward. I took a step backward, afraid he was going to bite me. Seriously, I was so close to wetting my pants.

"No...no..." I stammered.

"Well, I agree with everything you said, except" he raised his index finger and forced a smile. My eyes grew wider, I swear I looked like an owl that time. Sorry, bad comparison. "Good looking, maybe?" . I shrugged.

"The fact that I'm good looking needn't be converted into a question, smarty pants. Look at me. I mean seriously, LOOK. AT. ME. I'm the definition of good looking"

"Off topic brother" Stefan said. I don't know how but I was sitting on the couch and the door was wide open. Remember: Never move even if you are scared of Damon Salvatore. He ruins your exit plan. He snapped his fingers and said "Don't even think about it" . I shifted my gaze from the door to Stefan.

"She said everything you wanted her to say. You told her to leave, she did" Stefan had an urgency in his voice. Like, he would collapse if I didn't tell him the truth.

"Who are you?" Damon asked, inching closer until I fell on the couch.

"Fine! Okay! Whatever" I shouted standing up. "I made her leave. I wanted the project all to myself and I-"

"We don't care, Amelia" Caroline said, marching in. "What we care about is, how did you make her leave?"

"She compelled Hayley" Damon narrowed his eyebrows at me.

"Shirley" I corrected at the same time when Caroline gasped and pointed a finger at me shouting "You didn't! did you? No, you didn't. You did, didn't you? Did you? God! just tell me. You are a witch! But witches can't compel. Are you a witch and a vampire? Are you a different kind of hybrid? You lied. You little rat! You wanna kill us. You wanna scare us. Klaus. Did Klaus send you here? How dare he! How dare-" I clasped her mouth shut by putting my palm on it and holding it tightly.

"Shut up!" I ordered. "I'm no witch"

"Then what are you, freak?!" Jeremy asked standing near the door, Bonnie and Elena with him.
