The Confrontation

It was late evening, that same day. The vampires had surrounded the house including Bonnie and Matt. We decided to keep Jeremy out of this. It wasn't anything big but I hoped Greg didn't have a guest with him. Especially not a witch. I kept drawin circles with my bare finger on the little table next to a mobile phone. I smiled with I heard the door knob turn.

"Holy shit!" he half screamed swtiching on the lights.

"Hello Greg" I said over my shoulder. "Come sit" I gestured to a huge cushion on the floor. He had no furniture except for one chair.

"What are you doing here Miss nobody? Did you break in?" he looked surprised. I stared at him and pointed at the cushion. He walked to the centre of the room and squinted at me. "What do you want?"

"Greg, we study at the same univesity. We are classmates. I didn't know who else to go to" I said, shaking my head. He took a step back and waited so I continued, "Shirley is missing" I said, softly. Silence. "And...I was attacked on sunday night" . Silence, again. "You don't seem surprised" I said and frowned.

"Well, nobody likes you Amelia so I don't see why this is an issue" he shrugged. I would have anyone call me a 'nobody', anyone hate me, anyone despise me but not this guy. "You should've called the cops, you know. It's been two days" he said, slowly and then started to yawn.

"Oh, don't worry. I'll call the cops, soon. But, how can you be so chilled out about Shirley? I mean, you were sneaking around with her, after all" . He tensed and shut his mouth immediately.

"What rubbish" he said but it didn't scare me.

"And how were you okay with her going on a date with Chuck?" I half laughed. I would, actually, prefer Chuck going around with Shirley than this guy.

"You...you met Chuck?" he asked, nervously. I nodded.

"That's it!" Damon yelled, stepping out of a closet. I raised my eyebrows and tried to signal him to go inside but he didn't bother.

"Vampire!" Greg gasped and sheilded his face with his hands.

"Don't be a wimp. You are so scared yet you killed two people and blamed it on us and attacked Jamelia and tried to ruin the project. How the hell are you against us and not with us?" he tilted his head waiting for an answer from the tall and husky Greg who seemed like he was on the verge of tears.

"Who is Jamelia?" he asked me.

"I am. Damon seems to have poor memory" I shot him a look.

"Fine! Yes. I killed Shirley. She was supposed to be on my team. When she found out you were with the vampires, which is forbidden, she freaked out. She didn't want to be haunted by their spirit so she did the next best thing. She came home. I was sitting outside with the guys and thinking of a plan. She was white with fear. She wasn't the hot Shirley I knew. She was...more like a version of you"

"Don't compare me and her, get to the bloddy point" I said, angrily. Damon smiled at me approvingly.

"So, I asked her and the dumb blonde told us all. I managed to lure her to join us and that she would be safer and she joined in. Also because, well, look at me"  he said and ran his hand through his hair.

"Pfft" I grunted. "Mr. Bean is better looking" I said and laughed. Damon simply looked at me and then at Greg. I suddenly remembered how old Damon was. He shot me a look and I widened my eyes in fear. Had he read my mind? I'm so dead.

"We went to the bar for a drink and a guy went inside the washroom. Jordan and I followed. Shirley clearly didn't see Jordan or that other guy enter the washroom, because she walked inside all seductive and passionate. When she saw the blood she screamed"
