Came To The Wrong Person

Author's Pov

Jungkook is quiet...

Too quiet for Aíden's liking.

Usually, the younger would never be like this. Almost like he turned to mute. When he asked Jungkook, the other will only reply with yes or no. It also gets more frustrating when he asked the younger if there's anything wrong but he only gets silent treatment after then.

"Jungkook..." He called out, grabbing the younger's hand who flinched by the action. Now that was extremely weird for Aíden... Jungkook never ever flinches by his touch before. He knows that Aíden is the type of affectionate so it's usual of him to do skin interaction so why now?

"What's wrong? I asked this many times already Jungkook-ah..." He spoke softly, giving the last energy of him to convince Jungkook to actually talk and tell him anything that happened that makes him like this. "Huh? It's n-nothing." He said stuttering, a soft smile plastered on his face at the end but Aíden noticed it. He noticed the way Jungkook slowly pulled his hand away from his grasp; showing clearly there's something wrong but the younger didn't want to tell him.

A certain memory flashed inside his head, breaking his heart by the action. He couldn't help but remember his ex-lover, André. The male did exactly like what Jungkook just did. Pushing him away, not wanting any skin interaction nor spending time with him. And when he asked why, the other will just shrug and go to work and come home in the middle of the night.

Yes, he should have doubted it from the very first night.

But he didn't.

Too lost or in other words, too preposterous in believing the idea of André loves him. Not knowing it was lies all along.

His gaze landed on Jungkook. He knows he shouldn't feel like this because the younger is completely different from André but he couldn't help it. He believes the younger so much but there's an inch of him doubting the younger's loyalty. 'He wouldn't do that Aíden... Let it pass. André is nothing compared to Jungkook.' He stated in his head, convinced.

Or more like– convincing himself.

But of course. That didn't work. A soft sad smile plastered on his face, feeling guilty for thinking bad about Jungkook even though he couldn't help it. "Querida, are you okay?" Jungkook asked worriedly, breaking Aíden's thoughts as he shook his head and smiled again before continuing their dinner; decided to not answer what the younger just asked. He didn't want Jungkook to disappoint with the fact he doubt him but he also didn't want to lie to the younger.

So a choice that is left for him is to keep quiet. With that, no one will be disappointed and certainly, no one will be lying.

You might wonder what's wrong with Jungkook right? Well, this... Ermm– cheater, is feeling guilty for what he had done. He thought that he will be fine as usual even after he had an affair behind Aíden's back but when he faced the older again; he knows he couldn't. There's this feeling around him that chased him; reminding him what sin he had done in the office that morning.

A sin he will never get enough from doing.

"Excuse me. Need to use the bathroom." Aíden suddenly said, breaking off Jungkook's thoughts who only nodded at the statement; watching the other walk away but failing to notice the tears of Aíden's green eyes. He sighed out loud, wondering why he couldn't find peace in his heart. He said he wanted Jimin, he wanted to taste the older again and he got it a few hours ago.
