Chapter 10 ~ Wake Up!

*Kiara's POV*

This isn't real. This isn't real Kiara.

I keep repeating over and over again in the hope that it's all just one big figure if my imagination.

Barty's face runs back and forth in my mind, laughing like a mad man.

I scream as loud as I can, but no sound comes out. I try and again and wake myself up from the nightmare.

My heart pounding in my chest as I look around and see some familiar faces, McGonagall and Dumbledore are here. Fred and George and my mum and Emilie. We're in the hospital wing at Hogwarts.

I try and steady my breathing as my mother fusses over me. I hope to god it was all a bad dream.

I try and sit up, I get about half way and feel a sharp pain in my lower stomach, like cramps.

It wasn't a dream.

I slump back down and start to cry, it doesn't help the pain, it makes it worse, but I just feel so frustrated right now.

He said I would pay for what I did, Barty said I was dead. But at least I'm still here.

My mum sits on the bed next to me and cradles me in her arms. Like I'm a little girl again.

Nobody's said anything yet, so I don't know if I'm still dreaming or if no one knows what to say. Or I just can't hear anyone over the ringing in my ears.

"Am I dreaming? Someone please tell my this was all just a bad dream...?"

I whimper from the bone crushing hug my mother is still holding me in. I hear not only the gentle so sobs of my mother and a few others surrounding me.

"No, unfortunately, it's not a dream Kiara. But we can tell you that you will be safe from now on, Barty is now back in Azkaban so you need not worry my dear"

McGonagall explains. Of all the people here, the one person I need right now is Fred and even he hasn't said anything to me.

But wait? What happened to Angus?

"Wait, it doesn't make sense, where's Angus?"

"There is no Angus"

"What?"

"There is no one registered at this school under the name of Angus Thurgood"

Dumbledore explains. This all still doesn't explain the whole situation.

"But wait, how did you guys find me?"

"Well, that's what we want to know, Mr Weasley and Mr Weasley here ran into my office frantically barking orders and then pursuing their way through the castle leading us straight to you"

I don't know if Dumbledore is angry with them or thankful that they found me in time.

Fred and George are looking down at the floor. Wearing a very guilty looking expression on their faces.

George reaches into his pocket and pulls out a piece of parchment with many different sections embedded within it, almost like a maze of paper glued together.

"We were just glancing over the map when we noticed your name and Barty Crouch Jr's name right next to each other and we knew something was up so we ran to Dumbledores office and set out to look for you and here were now"

I notice Emilie stood just next to my bed, leaning stiffly on the one next to mine, she looks upset and peeved.

My mum still holding me close to her chest. McGonagall glaring at the twins and Dumbeldore still wearing his soft, blank expression he always wears.

"You two should be punished, for breaking various school rules-"

"-Sometimes you have to break the rules, to prove what's right. Even if that means saving someone's life"

I choke on my words. I have no idea where that came from and I can tell everyone else is thinking the same thing too.

McGonagall's expression softens and she sighs heavily, her chest deflating in defeat. She carry's on.

"-I understand that a few rules have to be broken, and so that is why you two are not going to be punished for it. Because you helped us put away a convicted criminal and saved a young girls life"

They both sigh with relief and their body's relaxed slightly.

"-But we will be informing your parents-"

"-What, no!"

"-Mum will kill us!"

"Calm down, I'll talk to your mum and it will all be fine"

Emilie finally chirps up. Fred and George still don't look relaxed but it's better than nothing.
