*Rosemary's POV*

What a lovely day.

Frost on the grass and trees outside in this beautiful autumn morning.

Ah, have always loved the winter months. I loved then so much I planned it exactly right for when Kiara was born she would be born in the winter time.

24th December, never forgot her birthday. I just never had any contact with her, because of her sister.

I never got to see her growing up.

I wasn't there to hear her speak her first word. To see her take her first step. All those precious moments, gone. Time flies by way too quickly.

Her father is a good man. A Gryffindor infact. A very intelligent and strong hearted man.

Adele doesn't like Kiara's father, because of what he is.

It's not his fault though, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Anyway, that's enough of that, and besides they both seem to be doing well without me all these years, Kiara and her father.

Although, I'm not sure they even know each other properly. But the right time will come, eventually.

I jump suddenly at the sound of a loud bang, like a bird hitting the living room window.

I open the window and peer down outside to see an old, brown, ruffled looking owl laying lifeless on the floor.

I rush out the front door to see if it's alright and all of a sudden it jumps up onto it's feet and fly's over to the edge of the house, perching on the fence.

I notice a letter on the rose bush, just underneath the window where the owl crash landed.

On the front of the envelope is *my name* I wonder who it's from?

**Letter from kiara**

Oh my Godric, it's from Kiara! I didn't expect to hear from her anytime soon?

She wants to meet for lunch!

I run back into my house and frantically look for my ink pot and parchment.

I dig out an old wooden box from underneath a pile of old letters and newspapers, blowing off the dust, watching as it falls to the ground, dancing in the air and glistening in the sun light.

*dearest Kiara,

I am glad to hear from you, and would be delighted in joining you for lunch later on, on this fine winters day.

I can meet you at The Leaky Cauldron at 12:00pm for lunch.

Hope to see you soon.

~ M...*

I hesitate as to wether to sign the letter as 'Mum' or 'Rosemary'

*Hope to see you soon.

~Mum x*

I fold the parchment in half and slip it into a blank envelope, signing the front and hand it back to the clumsy brown owl, still sat on the garden fence.

*Kiara's POV*

I do hope mum got my letter, I really need so many things answered, you have no idea.

''What have you got planned for today my dearest Frenchie?"

I grit my teeth, clenching my jaw shut tightly and clenching my fist into a tight ball.
