Sun, Scorch, Burn Incinerate
You are the sun.
I want, so desperately,
to look at you,
but each single time
I fail.
You scorch my soul.
I need, every second,
for things to go
back to normal, but
I know it won't
ever happen.
You burn my heart.
I cling, almost dead,
to the last time
I heard your flowing
laugh, but it has
dried up.
You incinerate my hope.
As the smoldering fire
leaps from your cruel
hands, I wonder what
sick fantasy I was
in all this time.

Hey! Sorry for the lack of updates....SBACs suck. I'll try to update more often, but for now, here's two poems for you today.
The formatting for this poem was originally supposed to be two words per line, but it just ended up getting really long and.....kinda like this author's note. Ha.
Peace!
