History Repeats Itself
My mind drifts back to when
"You're now my best friend!"
How your eyes became circles of surprise-
Oh, they must have doubled in size!-
And your smile knew no bounds
And scared away all the frowns
And you flung yourself into my arms,
And promised to fight away all harm.
My mind drifts back to when
"We are definitely not friends."
How your eyes became circles of surprise-
Oh, the must have doubled in size-
And your tears knew no bounds
And I saw this with a slight frown,
And, at me, you flung your arms,
And broke my nose, caused me harm.
