His Graduation
His kind smile will be gone,
his witty remarks won't be there.
It feels like school is playing con,
sending him to high school and leaving me clinging to air.
His "Good morning"s will be MIA,
his reassuring laughter will disappear.
I wish with my life the devil wouldn't play,
by slowly taking away everything dear.
I know he doesn't look like much,
but he's helped me survive.
He's the healer with a light touch,
and everything dead he revives.
