Homebound
Lightning,
the pounding,
the wolves frantically bounding.
Rain,
the train,
turning people insane.
Thunder,
the cover,
turning into a blunder.
Wind,
the dimmed,
screaming, "All have sinned!"
Cold,
the bold,
searching for a hand-hold.
Safe,
the embrace,
the smiling, kind face.
