Frank's POV
Twerp.
Now my face and my back hurt, more so my back at the moment since it was the most recent pain to come to my body. Although I had to admit, I probably shouldn't have pinned him up against the wall. I was angry that he had gotten away with almost knocking me over in the hall, but seeing him desperately needing to use the restroom eased my need for revenge. Let alone hearing the moan of relief when he finally got to the restroom, which I had barely caught when I entered the bathroom. His voice sounded so strangled when he did, but it's not like I haven't felt that relief before, so it was understandable.
That wasn't the only thing that was quenching my thirst for revenge for now, but the fact that he was supposed to be my partner for a month was doing wonders for it as well. He couldn't avoid me either. If he got smart with me, I could easily have my way to shut him up. I'm sure he would be no problem after all the time I had thought about it, smirking to myself and humming in satisfaction when the bell rang.
I got up from my chair, exiting the classroom before everyone else to go back outside. It was lunch, I didn't like the commotion and all in the cafeteria, so I sat outside all the time. In winter, I just stayed in an empty room, much like the one across from the theater room. I went to the tree outside, which was about 40 feet from the courtyard, since I didn't have the chance to sit near it during 2nd period. I still had no idea who the person was that had taken my favorite spot by the tree, although I hadn't had the time to think about it.
I brushed it off, knowing I had more important things to worry about such as memorizing my lines, which is why I wasn't wanting to be inside just in case I was too loud. I pulled out my folder that held the script, pulling it out of the pocket and seeing where I left off. It was kind of close to where it is said that the balcony scene takes place, which I was trying to get to in the first place.
"O, that I were a glove upon that hand that I might touch that cheek," I whispered to myself, trying my best to put that Shakespearean edge in there. That is, until I heard another voice read the next line aloud. "O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name; or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, and I'll no longer be a Capulet," They spoke, though their words were louder than my own.
I shoved my script back in the folder and jumped back, trying to see where the voice came from. After frantically turning around, I spotted Gerard leaning against the tree. I frowned and jumping up to my feet. I grabbed his wrist, twisting it and making him face the tree, grabbing his other hand to keep him pinned against the thick trunk. "Come to mock me, bitch boy?" I spat, feeling him struggle a little bit under my hold.
"Geez- I came to apologize! What is with you and pinning me against shit?!" Gerard exclaimed, still struggling to get out of my hold. He gave up after a little bit when I held his wrist against his upper back, though I had to admit, he was pretty flexible. "Get your crotch away from my fucking leg," Gerard mumbled, moving his leg a little to make me realize that my crotch was indeed against his leg. I sighed, letting go and watching his relieved face when he rolled his shoulders a bit to release tension.
"Listen, I'm not failing because of you just because you won't take this shit seriously. It may be a dumb play that has a lot of pining and shit like that, but we were assigned to it," Gerard said, crossing his arms over his chest. I looked at the jacket, realizing that he was the one that skipped with me; even if we were far apart and I'm not sure if he saw me. I shook my head and snapped back to reality, putting up my bad boy act and crossing my arms as well. "Who says I wasn't taking this shit seriously?" I asked, smirking a little and chuckling as Gerard started to look "angry". He looked cute when he tried to be intimidating.
"I know guys like you, this is the easiest grade you'll get this semester, but my acting is graded on yours as well," Gerard snapped, looking me up and down before dropping his arms to his sides. He walked off without another word, coming to the corner of the building and looking back at me once more before disappearing. As soon as he was out of sight, I sighed out of relief, letting out a groan as I sat back down. I put the script in my bag, pulling out my lunch that I didn't think I would get to, but just to spite Gerard, I wasn't going to look at the script until tomorrow. 'That'll show him,' I thought, taking a bite out of my sandwich and smiling; this day was going smooth, just how I liked it.
