14. Ice cream

Holy shit, I think the waiter gave me her number. She really thinks she's something. Well, she's nothing compared to the guy I'm with, well not officially or anything but still.

I got a ring last week, it matched the ring I got a couple years ago, my ring is a part of a quote. I had the ring be the beginning of the quote, I decided to give it to Karl, I could tell he loved it when I gave it to him and I'm so glad. He deserves the world, he's quite literally my world. He just... doesn't know it yet.

"Karl, give me the receipt. I have an idea," he frowned and shook his head, "Karl I promise that I won't get with her, okay?" He nodded and handed the copy to me. why does he care anyways.

She thinks she's cool enough to pull something, she has guts. I pull out my phone, add her number, and texted her. Karl laughed at the name I gave her. I almost feel bad for what I'm about to do, not really.

Karl started laughing a lot, "her reply was so dry. That's hilarious," I giggled, 

he continued to laugh. His laugh is probably the best laugh I've ever heard. I hate that I have to go home tonight, but if I don't, then I'll get beat tomorrow. Karl is everything to me, but I want to be able to function.

"Hey Karl, one more surprise" he looked at me like I was joking, "I'm not joking let's go!" 

I get to the car as fast I can with crutches and unfortunately, I'm not that fast, it alright though. Not like I can drive, plus not even Karl's driving, his mom is. When Ashley showed up, I tried getting in the car alone but failed, Karl helped me and smiled after helping me. I smiled back then melted into my seat; his face is just so perfect. I had a horrible, crooked smile, I didn't care though. What mattered was I was spending my day with Karl, he mattered a lot.

We were nearing the ice cream parlor and I didn't want Karl to notice, I thought of the fastest thing I could.

"Karl! Close your eyes," I said frantically.

"why...?"

"just do it Jacobs," Karl rolled his eyes.

"you sound like a middle schooler," he joked.

"whatever karl," I laughed.

once he closed his eyes Karl's mom looked back and smiled. I smiled back, I'm so excited. I hope he likes all the surprises from today, yet I still have one more at the ice cream parlor.

"okay you can open your eyes now,"

"Sap! Awww" he smiled

He looked at me with his sunshine smile that could light up a whole city. Under his gaze I felt like I would melt, he so amazing. Not only that but his personality is just sweet and perfect, it's honestly the best personality I have ever seen.

Karl helped me out of the car and grabbed my crutches for me. I smiled then led the way to the door, Karl was practically jumping up and down. He was so excited to be here, I could certainly tell. Probably because sugar was involved, I laughed.
