"I present to you Husband and Wife, and a new United village!" Father Haynes said.

The village people cheered, throwing flower petals in the air as a form of blessing on the marriage.

Turak and I turned around,  hand in hand and began to walk between the crowd. Various people throwing flower petals on us. People made a little walk way so we didn't get stuck in the crowd.

I looked up at a woman who congratulated us and  said thank you. Something caught my eye. A few feet back in the crowd, I saw him. Yasitu. His face blank, his usual warm blue eyes were cold and percing through me.

A long red scratch ran along his cheek. He was one of the inured from the bear. I wanted to get to him but Turak's hand was tightly wrapped around my wrist. He must of also seen Yasitu because he was pulling me away in the opposite direction.

We finally made it out the crowd. Petaine was dressed in his finest saddle and reins,  his black hair decorated with flowers.  Turak helped me up onto him, then swinging himself up.

I had no clue where we were going  but I was sure it was in the direction of Kotra.  He pushed Petaine hard making him go faster.  I gripped tightly onto Petaine's mane,  in fear of falling off. I had never rode this fast.

"Where are we going?" I shouted over the wind.

"To my house." he shouted back. Why couldn't we just have stayed at my house. There was no need for us to leave Labri. I closed my eyes, because they became to tear with the wind constantly whipping in my face. After a few more minutes, Turak halted Petaine and he came to a stop.

I opened my eyes slowly,  a small stone house with a little chimney.  It looked adorable and tiny. Turak got off and helped me off. He lead Petaine to back stable where his family's horses were kept.

Turak guided me towards his house. Inside it was warm and cozy unlike the cold stiffness of the house I had lived in for 18 years. My parents had be wanted to get me out the house since I was 14.  A little young you would think but, that's when I started my period and it was said that when a girl starts her period and is able to conceive a child she is lawfully allow to get married.  I did not want to get married so young, so I hid that fact and when my parents found out they were on the hunt for suitors.  Yet 5 years later did I only finally  agree to get married, more like was forced to agree.

Turak led me to there living area and told me to take a seat. He disappeared for a minute and came back with a little box. He sat down next to me and grabbed my hand in his.

"Nemeria,  this necklace has been passed down to all the women in the family, my grandmothers mother, my grandmother to my mother and now I give it to you." he said opening the box to reveal a black moonstone. It was so beautiful, I just stared at in in complete awe.

"It's beautiful Turak, thank you." I smiled. "Um... I think I should change for the after ceremony."

"Of course. There is a dress my mother made for you, it's lying on the bed in my bedroom." he said. I stood up and  headed into the direction I had see Turak walk, I found his room, and I found the dress his mother had made. It was a beautiful purple satin dress, it must of cost yer a fortune to make it.  Satin was a very expensive necessity, if you wore satin you were seen as a rich person. And purple one of the most rare colours to be worn in our village.

I changed out of my green one into the purple one. I pulled my hair out from the vines that held it up ,and I let it flow down onto my shoulders like I usually had it. I stepped out from the room and walked back into the living area of his house. He was sitting on a stool by the fireplace. He looked up at me and his mouth immediately dropped open.

"You look beautiful."
