Chapter 2

Life is perfect.

I slowly walked away from the door grinning.

I live a wonderful life. I couldn't ask for anything better. I have amazing friends. I have an amazing boyfriend that I love very much. I have an amazing apartment.

I walked to my bedroom and laid down on my bed. I closed my eyes for a few minutes when my phone rang.

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and checked the caller ID. Layla's goofy picture I set came up. I answered the call and put it to my ear.

"Hello?"

"Jade!!!" She squealed.

"What Layla?" I chuckled.

"I got a boyfriend! You should meet him!! He is so sweet and kind! He's perfect!" She squealed.

"Oh really? What's his name?" I asked.

"Evan! Oh Jade, he's just perfect." she said. I could practically hear her grinning.

"Well, wh-" I started saying but there were a few knocks on the door.

"Hold on Layla. I'll call you right back." I said before hanging up the phone.

I quickly got off of my bed and walked to the door.

Who was on the other side of the door knocked again.

"I'm comin. I'm comin." I yelled.

I opened the door and two boys, that were probably my age, were standing there. One had dark brown hair and the other had black hair. They both were really good looking.

"Can I help you?" I asked placing my hands on my hips.

"Are you Jade Elizabeth Bass?" The black haired boy asked me.

"Yes. May I ask who you are?" I asked looking between both of them.

The black haired guy said,"I am Caden and this is Allen."

I repeated my first question,"Can I help you?"

"Yes. We need you to come with us." Allen spoke.

I stared at them like they were crazy for a few minutes. I mean, I just met them!

Just listen to them. My wolf, Sophia, said.

No. I said back to her before blocking her.

"I'm not going anywhere with you." I exclaimed now crossing my arms over my chest.

I saw two figures coming towards us in the corner of my eye. I looked at them and my eyes felt like they got bigger.

Layla and some tall, attractive guy with dark brown hair was walking towards us. The guys arm was around Layla and Layla was smiling like a mad man. He must be Evan.

"Layla, what's going on?" I asked as she approached us.

"Just listen to them Jade. Trust me." She said with a reassuring smile.

I sighed. I guess I should trust her. I mean we've been best friends for 7 years.

"Where are we going?" I asked Caden and Allen.

"You'll find out when we get there." I'm guessing Evan said.

I glared at him and nodded.

I walked back inside my apartment and grabbed my cellphone and keys. I walked back to the group outside my door and locked it.

We all walked to a black car and Allen and Caden got in front with Allen driving. Evan, Layla and I slid into the back of the car.

We started driving and everyone in the car was silent. After probably-5 minutes of silence, I couldn't take it anymore.

"Is that Evan?" I asked Layla.

She looked up at the guy who's arm was around her.

"Yes it is!" She grinned.

I nodded and looked out the window. We were driving in the woods. This ace looks familiar but I don't know why.

I turned back to Layla.

"Where are we going?" I asked her.

She bit her lip and looked at Evan.

"Crescent Moon Pack." Allen said.
