It felt like hours passed before the movie ended. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. It was only 2:14. I sighed.

"Hey Lucas?" I asked.

"Hmm?" He replied.

"Can we go shopping and mayyyybe stop by apartment?" I asked.

He didn't reply for a minute or two.

"I guess." He sighed.

I smiled and jumped up. I grabbed the clothes from earlier and saw they were dirty.

"Do you know where Layla's room is?" I asked looking at Lucas on the bed.

"She's probably with Evan. So yes I do know where there room is." He replied getting up from the bed.

He took my hand and pulled me out the door. We walked down the hall and took a few turns. we stopped at a door and he knocked on it. A few minutes later, Layla opened the door.

A grin took over my face as I ran past Lucas and hugged her. She hugged me back.

"Hey Jade! How are ya?" She asked smiling.

"I'm fine how are you Lay?" I asked looking around the room.

It was a nice size and it was really neat. Not as big as mine and Lucas room.

"I love it here! Especially with Evan!" She said smiling and biting her lip.

"That's nice Lay! So I was wondering if I can borrow a shirt and some jeans." I said biting my lip.

"Of course Jade! Come on." She said walking to a dresser.

I followed her to the dresser and she pulled out a navy blue short sleeved shirt. She walked to the closet and opened the door. Thank god were the same size! She pulled a pair of dark jeans and handed them to me.

"Thank you Lay!" I said hugging her.

"No problem J." She replied hugging me back.

I smiled and walked back to Lucas. He grabbed my hand again and led me back to our room. I ran to the bathroom and locked the door. I quickly pulled off my clothes I was wearing and put on the clothes Layla gave me. I combed my hair with my fingers and sighed before walking out.

Lucas was already changed in a black shirt and blue jeans.

"Ready?" He asked, looking up from his phone.

I nodded my head and walked towards him. I held my hand out to him and he took it. He looked surprised but then smiled. We walked out the door and to the front door. We walked to his car.

He held the passenger door open for me. I slipped in and he shut the door. he walked around the car and he slid in the drivers seat.

We drove past trees and it took probably 15 minutes to get to the mall. Lucas parked the car and got out of the car. I opened the door and as soon as I got out, Lucas's arm was wrapped around my waist.

I sighed and closed the door. We walked through the mall doors and the familiar scent of it hit my nose.

"Where do you want to go first?" Lucas whispered into my ear

"Hmm. How about American Eagle?" I asked searching the mall.

"Sounds good." we started walking in the direction of American Eagle.

We walked into the store and I started looking at the clothes. I picked up a cute pink blouse and a few pairs of skinny jeans. I grabbed a few shirts.

Lucas bought my clothes and we went to more stores. Lucas bought me my clothes and then we went to the food court. Lucas walked to Chik-fil-a and is now ordering for us.

"Jade?" A male voice asked from behind me.

I looked in the direction of the voice and grinned. Tyler Ducker, my best friend since last year, was standing behind me smiling.

"Hey Ty!" I said getting up and hugging him.

He hugged me back and chuckled. He pulled back and placed his hands on my hips.

"Why haven't you been at school?" He asked raising his eyebrow.

Oh crap! What do I tell him?

"Umm. I don't go to school anymore." I said.

Tyler's eyebrows were both raised in surprise.

"Why?" He asked still surprised at the news.

I shrugged."I don't know."

"All of us at school miss you." He smiled.

"I miss you guys too!" I smiled back.

A low growl came from behind me.
He smirked and removed his hands from my waist and I turned around. Lucas was standing behind me, his eyes black. His jaw was clenched and his fists were balled.

I took a step toward Lucas and put my hands up.

"Lucas, calm down." I said moving closer.

"I'll see you later." Tyler whispered in my ear before leaving.

"Let's go." Lucas growled out.

I nodded and Lucas grabbed my bags. I wrapped my arms around his arm. We walked out of the mall and to the car.

"Who was he?" He asked, his eyes back to the chocolate brown.

"He was a friend from school." I shrugged.

Lucas sighed.

"Thank you," I whispered.

Lucas looked at me, grinning.

"You're welcome, love."

I smiled at the nickname.

"Can we still go to my apartment?" I asked biting my lip.

Lucas sighed and nodded.
