"Alice!" I said, my voice getting louder as I ran into her arms.

She hugged me back and quietly started laughing. She always was like a second mom to me. I soon joined in and we both were laughing. I pulled away and looked up at her. Her once long black hair was now cut short. She held the same beauty since the last time I saw her. I looked into her eyes and saw thousands of emotions crossing them. Happiness, sadness, grief, emptiness, and loneliness.

I didn't even realize I was crying until a tear fell down my chin and down my neck. I quickly wiped away my tears. I felt arms wrap around my waist and I immediately knew it was Lucas. I turned in his arms and looked at Alice.

"Jade, h-how about we all sit in the living room and talk. Theo can get us all refreshments. Does tea sound fine?" She asked biting her lip.

Lucas nodded his head as I said,"Tea sounds lovely. Thank you."

I heard Theo chuckle softly as I sat next to Lucas on a couch. I looked at Theo as he walked off. His dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes brought back memories of when I was 7 and he was 8.

"Thats no fair Theo! You cheated!" I exclaimed crossing my arms over my chest

Theo chuckled and said."I did not!"

"Did too!"

"Did not!

"Too!"

"Not!"

"Yes you did! I'm not playing with you anymore because you cheated!" I said, turning to stomp out of the room.

Theo grabbed my arm and sighed,"I'm sorry. I sh-" he was cut off by the door being slammed open.

My mom stood in the doorway looking panicked.

"Whats wrong mommy?" I asked, tilting my head to the side.

"I'm sorry baby. You have to go, now." She grabbed me and picked me up.

At that time, Alice and Tom-Theo's parents- ran into the room and grabbed Theo.

"Theo!" I yelled as they ran in the opposite direction.

By now, I was sobbing into my shoulder.

"Its alright baby. Shhh. Everything will be alright." My mom said rubbing my head.

She ran out the door of the pack house and I saw something I'll never forget.

Bodies of my pack members laid in there blood, dead or dying. I watched as men not from this pack, attacked my pack members. As my mother ran away from the pack house, I saw more and more dead bodies of my pack.

"Mom? Who are they? What are they doing?" I asked, scared.

My mom breathed in a shaky breath and said, " I'm sorry sweetie. The Blue Moon Pack is attacking our pack."

"B-But why?"

"I-" before she could finish, she fell to the ground, screaming. I fell out of her arms and on the ground.

I quickly looked up and saw her clutching her leg. I stood up and looked at her leg. I saw a long, silver knife in her leg.

"Mommy!" I screamed.

I saw behind her, a tall, scary guy coming towards us with an evil looking grin. My mom looked back and growled at him. He just laughed and continued walking.

My moms eyes looked back at me with panic.

"Jade, listen to me. You need to run! Run through the woods! Get as far away as you can! Don't come back! I love you, baby girl. Just run and stay safe!" She said, tears rolling down her cheeks.

She kissed the top of my head and whispered,"I love you! Now go!"

I nodded and hugged her for the last and final time.

I looked around and noticed everyone looking at me with a worried expression on there faces. I noticed Theo came back and sat a tray of tea on the table. I gave them all a small smile, and they gave me one in return. Alice started pouring us all some tea.

"So, where should we start?"Alice asked looking and smiling at me.

I bit my lip and asked,"What exactly happened that night?"

Alice sighed and handed us all a cup of tea while saying,"That night, the Blue Moon Pack and about 50 or so rogues attacked this pack."

"But why?" I asked, feeling a lump forming in my throat.

"We're not exactly sure. I think it was because our pack killed the Blue Moon Packs Alpha's mate a few years back."

I slowly sipped my tea and looked at Theo who was already looking at me. He gave me a warm, gentle smile.

"Where did you go?" I whispered.

He looked shocked and asked,"What?"

I cleared my throat and spoke louder,"Where were you when they were attacking?"

He seemed to realize what I was asking and nodded.

"After your mom came and got you, my parents grabbed me and ran me to our old tree house. The one my father built. Where it was so high up and covered in leaves that you would need binoculars to see it. The one only you, me, my mom, and my dad knew about."

A picture of the tree house flashed in my mind. It was really high up in the tree. It was hard to see during the day. So it must have been invisible during the night.

We talked for a few more hours until it was 10 o'clock.
