My Alpha Mate

Chapter 3

"C-Crescent Moon P-Pack?" I stuttered, shocked.

Allen nodded once, "Alpha Lucas wants to speak with you."

Alpha Lucas? Last time I was there, it was Alpha Ken. It was 11 years ago. I wonder how much has changed.

"Follow me." Caden said, leading us into the old, big creme colored pack house.

Layla, Evan, and I followed Caden and Allen around the pack house. I was 6 last time I was here. I remember only a little bit of it.

As I was looking at my old pack house, Caden and Allen stopped in front of a double doored room.

Caden opened the doors and revealed what I'm guessing is the Alphas office. But where is the Alpha.

"Have a seat there. Alpha Lucas will be here shortly." Caden said.

I nodded and took a seat in front of the desk. Everyone left the room leaving only me.

I sighed and looked around. It was a cozy office. It had a desk, a couch in the corner of the room. It had an office chair and pictures hanging on the walls.

The office doors behind me opened and I'm guessing it's the Alpha. I looked down at my hands as he walked around the desk to his chair.

"Jade?" His voice was so velvety and beautiful.

I nodded my head without looking up.

"Please look at me." he said softly.

I breathed in a deep breath and looked up into his eyes. A gasp escaped my lips.

"Mate!" My wolf screamed inside my head.

"Mate." We said in unison.

He was incredibly handsome. He had dark chocolate eyes and dark brown hair. He had these full pink lips. He was even more handsome than Kyle.

No! You can't think like that! I love Kyle! He's been with me for 6 years. We've been dating for 3 1/2 years! You can't do this to him! I screamed to myself.

"Jade." his velvety voice called my name.

I stared into his chocolate brown eyes. I felt like I could get lost in them.

"I am Lucas Carter. I am the Alpha of the Crescent Moon Pack. Of course you already know, we're mates. Layla and Evan are mates." he explained.

Well that was new. I could've probably figured that out on my own. Evan and Layla are mates.

"You are not leaving here." Was what snapped me out of my thoughts.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"You are going to live here. your not leaving." He replied with a shrug.

"You can't do that! I have friends! I have a boyfriend that I love very much! And I have my life back there!" I screamed as I shot up from my chair.

"You are not like them Jade! You also have a mate that will love and protect you!" He yelled back.

"I'm going back." I stated then marched to the door.

Two strong arms wrapped around my waist when my hand was on the door handle. I ignored the tingles that were shooting through my body.

"Oh I don't know. Back to my apartment. Back to my boyfriend. Back to my regular life." I stated trying to move his arms.

"I don't think so." he whispered in my ear.

He let go of me and threw me over his shoulder. I tried moving my legs but he held them.

We walked to the end of a hallway and he opened the door. I remember this room. This is the Alpha and his mates room. When the Alpha and his Luna get married, they have there own house a little bit away from the pack house.

Lucas walked to the bed and gently placed me on it. He laid on his side next to me. Tears escaped my eyes.

"Whats wrong?" He asked sounding worried, scanning my body to see if I was hurt. "Did I hurt you?"

"Can I at least break up with him in person. Can I see him one last time?" I asked as he wiped away my tears.

"I guess you can break up with him Friday." He sighed.

A smile threatened to break across my face. I can see Kyle again. He could hold me and kiss me. We could be together again. I can't wait til Friday. We can run away. We can be together, forever!

"What are you thinking?" Lucas asked studying my face.

"What I'm going to say to Kyle." I shrugged.

He nodded and sighed.

"I've got to go. I'm sorry. I'll be back shortly." he said getting off the bed.

He walked out the door and closed it. I quickly ran to the door and tried to open it.

"Dang it." I muttered under my breath.

It's locked.

I dragged my feet to the bed and laid there.

It's been like 3 hours since Lucas left. It's actually pretty lonely and boring without him. I've practiced what I'm going to say to Kyle once I see him.

I pulled out my phone and texted Kyle.

Hey, don't bother picking me up 4 school 2morrow or Friday. Meet me at my apartment after school Friday. I love you!

I bit my lip and sent him the text.

"Jade!" Lucas called.

I quickly deleted the text and put my phone on the dresser.

Lucas walked into the room and looked for me. I guess he figured I was going to try to escape. I mean I tried but failed.

He sighed and walked over to me,"I'm sorry it took so long. I had a lot of pack business."

"Like what?" I asked, curious.

"It's nothing y-" he started but cut me off.

"If I am going to be the future Luna of this pack them I have the right to know." I stated.

I feel bad telling him that I'm going to be future Luna when I'm actually planning on running away with my boyfriend.

A smile was plastered on his face for a minute processing what I just said. Than his face got all serious.

He sighed,"A rogue has been spotted in our territory."

I stiffened at the word, rogue.
