Chapter 8

It took us about 10 minutes to drive to my apartment from the mall. Lucas parked the car and I searched the parking lot. I breathed a sigh of relief when I didn't see Kyles car.

I slowly got out of the car and leaned against the door. I looked up at my apartment and sighed.

The memories of Kyles and mines argument coming back to mind. Lucas wrapped his arm around my waist and looked at me with concern filled in his eyes.

"Are you okay? Maybe we should just leave. I'll have Evan come and pack your stuff." Lucas mumbled opening the passenger door.

"No." I grabbed the door and sighed,"No Lucas. I'm okay. Let's just," I looked back up at my apartment than into Lucas's beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

"Let's just go get this done with." I said giving him a reassuring smile.

Lucas sighed and ran his fingers through his soft, brown hair with one hand and shutting the door with the other. Lucas chuckled when u wrapped both my arms around his waist.

I giggled and looked up at him. he smiled and started leaning his head down like he was gonna kiss me. I bit my lip and stared at him. I sighed when he kissed my forehead.

I removed my arms from his waist and took off running to my apartment door. I ran up the stairs and was about to reach my apartment door when to strong arms wrapped around my waist.

I felt the tingles erupt through my waist and I sighed.

"Why'd you run from me Jade?" He whispered in my ear.

"I wanted to get to my apartment."I shrugged.

Lucas chuckled and he removed his arms but wrapped one around my waist. I held back a smile as we walked to my apartment door. I reached down to the plant next to my door and searched the soil.

"What are you doing?" Lucas asked, holding back a chuckle but failing.

I smiled but ignored him. I found the thing I was looking fun and stood up. I dusted the dirt off of the key and unlocked the door. After I twisted the doorknob and it opened, I placed the key back in the plant and walked through the door.

I smiled as the smell of my apartment hit my senses. I looked around my apartment and a few tears escaped my eyes. I thought about Kyle. I thought about our argument we had 2 days ago.

I quickly wiped my tears away but more kept falling. Lucas wrapped me in his arms in a hug. It felt right to be in his arms. I pulled away from the hug and wiped away my tears.

I walked away from him and to my room. I grabbed 1 big, black suitcases from my closet and started filling them. I grabbed my toothbrush and tooth paste, clothes, bras, panties, my phone charger and all of my other stuff. I smiled and quickly stuffed my white booty shorts in the suitcase before Lucas saw.

After filling my suitcase, I zipped it up and walked into the living room where Lucas was sitting.

"I'm ready." I said.

Lucas stood up and wrapped his arm around my waist. He grabbed my suitcase and we headed to the front door.

He opened the door and I looked back around my apartment. A tear escaped my eye as I looked around my apartment. I quickly walked out the door before the tears could flow down my face.

Lucas was next to me in a second with my suitcase. We walked to his car in silence. He put my suitcase in the trunk before getting into the drivers seat. We drove home to the pack house in silence.
