Movie night

ATHENA'S POV

Awkward would be the perfect word to describe the situation. After Alex agreed to attend their movie night they all walked back. Christa and Andrew made sure that they would always be some steps behind them, they either wanted to left her and Alex somewhat alone or wanted to avoid the deadly stare Athena was giving them from the moment Christa had the bright idea to invite Alex over in her dorm room.

While they were walking she could feel his eyes stole glances of her almost every second. It was unnerving and the warm his hands left when they were accidentally brushing her hands definitely didn't help.

Thankfully she had clean her room yesterday so it was tidy when they arrived. Alex took everything in his eyes skipping over everything trying to take everything in. Nothing much happened, Christa and Athena brought some warm blankets and pillows, Andrew made his famous hot chocolate while Alex tried to help him and brought some snacks. After that they all settle down, Athena besides Alex, and the film started. Athena and Christa would offer make comments about how hot Tom Holland is which would lead to Alex's eyes to narrow while he glared at the screen like he could murder him right their and then.

Time passed. The crew binge watched more marvel movies after the first three Athena had started to feel sleepy. Her eyes started to fall, the happy voices of her friends began to fade away while she could feel the burning eyes of the man who made her heart jump with just one look. Her head fell on something hard and strong arms engulfed her almost immediately a familiar warmth surrounded her, she wanted this warmth, no, she needed it. After some minutes she felt that she was floating with strong arms around her. Soon she was in her bed half there half in her dreamland and just before the darkness surround her fully she heard, or dreamed? She couldn't be sure, him saying "soon little rabbit, soon we will be together and then nothing will part us again."

ALEX'S POV

Everything felt so right. He and his mate, his better half, his heart, his everything. It was like he was meeting happiness for the first time. This little rabbit had more power over him than anyone else. She was his as much as he was hers, she may not know that yet but he had decided that she would soon. He couldn't be more grateful to moon goddess for choosing Athena for his mate.

The movie night was amazing except for the part where she admired another male in that stupid movie, he was better that this Tommy boy anyway. When his little rabbit fell asleep in his arms he was scared to even breathe loudly in fear that he would disturb her sleep. Her friends once they saw Athena sleeping at Alex's arms gave him a knowing look whispered their goodbyes and quietly left.

Alex carefully hugged Athena and lifted her up, he was beyond happy when she unconsciously moved closer to him. He slowly put her in her bed and made sure that she was properly covered up so she wouldn't be cold during the night. He stood there for a minute watching her sleep, she was so peaceful and so beautiful, like an angel. She was, she was his angel and it was his job to make sure that this angel was protected and safe.

He wanted to be with her, to stay by her side forever and ever. He wanted more than everything to sleep by her side and for her to be the first thing he sees when he wakes up. But he couldn't, not yet.
