The Beta

ATHENA'S POV

I am currently in my airplane waiting to go back to London. Even though New York was amazing I really missed my friends back Crista and Andrew also being the nerd I am I cannot wait for the new semester to begin this year I will do my master in research in biology my dream job.

After some boring hours in the airplane where I mostly slept and thought about that weird but gorgeous guy we finally landed I go running to take my suitcase but after I take it I realize that ,I haven't have bought any water and you must know that I am thirsty every five minutes so I go to buy a bottle but when I come back my suitcase is gone. Looking around I see a blonde man with my suitcase

"Excuse me sir but I think you have my suitcase" I tell him "sorry miss but I am pretty sure that this one is mine" after I point to him my name tag in it he realize that it is really mine "ohh I am so sorry miss but if this is your suitcase where is mine ugh I lost it again" he was looking so confused and I totally understand him I mean I lost my things all the time so I offered him my help "oh thank you you don't have to help me though" " nah it's okay I don't have anything better to do" I said and we both laughed "The name is Max" he said "well nice to meet you Max I am Athena , now let's go and find that suitcase of yours" after 10 minutes we find Max's suitcase next to a bookstore "so this is where I left it oops, anyway I have 1hour until my next flight so what do you say will you let me treat you a coffee as a thank you for your help?"

"Well how could I say no to free coffee" I say and we go laughing to a coffee shop "so you say that you are leaving where are you going?" I ask "well I came for business and now I am going back home to New York" he said "no way really I just came back from New York" I say and we continue to talk I learned that he is 25 and is working in New York but I didn't catch what exactly he is doing time passed by and now Max was heading to his airplane I write down to a paper my number and passed it to him we said that we will continue talking.

But as I go back home  ,I cannot ignore anymore that empty feeling that I have been feeling since I left from New York sometimes ,I even think that I miss the green/black eyed guy ugh no I cannot be missing him I don't even know him.
Right?

MAX'S POV

After dealing some business with the packs in England I finally can go home ,it is this time of the year it is September the month she died most werewolfs go nuts after their mates dead but me being Beta and with the help of my pack I accomplished to keep my sanity. But I cannot help but feel despair especially this time of the year.

Taking my suitcase and going to buy a book to keep me busy during my trip after buying a nice thriller I mean who doesn't love Stephen King's books ? okay now where did I left my suitcase? Oh found it.

"Excuse me sir but I think you have my suitcase" says a girl behind me "sorry miss but I am pretty sure this one is mine" I answer I cannot help but admire her physical beauty she is tall with nice dark brown hair a nice tan and green/hazel ayes.

After the girl showed me a name tag in the suitcase I realize that this one is not mine and I immediately apologize although if this one is not mine where is mine suitcase? After that the girl offers me her help and I learned that her name is Athena it suits her it is the name of the ancient Greek goddess of wisdom and only by looking in her eyes I can tell she is a serious and intelligent woman.

After 10 minutes we finally found my suitcase but seeing that I still had 1 hour until my flight I offer to treat Athena coffee actually it is the first time I feel like that after Mia's death with Athena I feel happy again after talking almost all the 60 minutes ,until we had to said goodbye sadly I have to go back to New York but she gave me her number and believe me ,me and my wolf don't want to let go on her I will come back to the first change I get.

After 8 hours thinking of Athena and her amazing character and adorable face the plane landed in New York. Alpha  has already sent a car to pick me up after 1 hour driving I finally was in the front of the pack house stepping inside I see an beyond every imagination frustrated Alex and it was obvious that  his wolf had taken control suddenly his head snapped at me or most precisely my pocket where was Athena's phone number and I hear him roar "Where is SHE"

ALEX'S POV

After seeing my other half running away I have sent through my mind link a message to every werewolf in New York to search for her I will search the whole New York if it means I will take my rabbit back .I cannot believe that after so many years of longing I finally found my mate and then she run without even telling me her name.

|20 HOURS TIME SKIP |

It has almost past one day since I see her the most beautiful creature in the world my mate and I am exasperated with myself for not having find her yet, my wolf has taken control after the first 10 hours have past.

No one has seen her in New York it is like she vanished, today comes back from London my beta Max he is a very strong wolf and I believe he will help me found my rabbit, as I am thinking about her the front dour opens and in walks my beta but what cached my attention is the sweet aroma of old books and ocean in his pocket which is faded but still strong enough for me to recognize it it is her scent ,
By now my wolf is outraged "why this idiot has our mate scent in his pocket" having full control now my wolf roar
