A week has passed and so far they are safe but Caitlin feels bad for bothering Barry and not paying for things herself. "Barry you have been too kind and it's been a week"
"It's only a week and I couldn't handle something happening to you guys and it would be my fault and you still are refusing to go to the hospital and you have no money" Barry said and there was a knock on the door. Barry asked through the door "Who is it?"
"FBI" They said and Barry Mouthed to Caitlin 'Hide' Caitlin ran into the guest bedroom and picked up Ellie. She told her daughter to stay silent and they hid in a small space in the room. "We are investigating a kidnapping and the victim was last scene coming into your apartment"
"Do you have a warrant?" Barry asked and they showed the search warrant through the peephole.
"Could you please let us in" The FBI said. Hesitantly Barry let them in and saw three guys enter his apartment. They were searching his small apartment and Barry was hoping that they wouldn't find Caitlin and Ellie especially since he didn't know where they were hiding. One of the FBI guys were searching the room he was in and he asked "Who are you searching for?" Instead of wandering the guy just gave him a look and continued searching. He heard clattering and saw that they were emptying all of his cupboards and a bunch of things fell. Barry knew these guys weren't FBI but he also knew they weren't to be messed with. "I'm calling the police If you don't leave" Barry said and one of the guys finally responded.
"That's a scary thought" he said sarcastically. Barry grabbed his phone and started to dial them but was stopped by one of the guys grabbing his hand "I don't need their crap right now" he said and dropped Barry's phone on the floor. Another one of the guys went into the guest room and saw Barry heard more clothing so he went into the guest room.
"Why do you have female clothes here?" They asked
"My adoptive sister stays here sometimes" Barry said he was trying to stop the guy from messing up everything and saw a terrified Caitlin and Ellie. "That's enough, get out now" Barry said "I know your not FBI"
Then another one of the guys came in the room and said "Do you know what it's like to have a knife hit your carotid artery?"
"No" Barry said
"Do you know what it's like to die for being stupid?" He said bringing the knife closer to Barry's throat.
"Come on their not here lets go" Another boy said stepping in and the man slowly put down his knife and began walking out. On the way out he purposely dropped things and stuck his life into the couch so all the fluff came out. They finally left and Barry sighed and went into the guest room. He saw Caitlin holding Ellie who started crying, he noticed that Caitlin also had stained cheeks.
"It's okay your safe" he said hugging both of them "Are you ok?" He said looking if there was anything wrong
"Yeah, we're fine" she said and looked to see if there was any cuts on Barry's neck. He took her hand away and said he was fine. "I shouldn't be here" she said
"Yes you should" he said
"No, I shouldn't be putting you in danger" Caitlin said
"Danger in in my job" Barry said "and all they did was kill my sofa"
"Barry, I'm serious" Caitlin said
"Me too" he said and the phone stared ringing. Caitlin gasped as she was soothing her child.
"Hello" Barry said
"Hi Bar" Joe said over the phone
"Joe hey" Barry said and mouthed to Caitlin that everything was ok. Barry had a quick conversation with his adoptive father and then talked to Caitlin. She decided that she would go away tomorrow morning. Ellie was packing some of her clothes while Caitlin was in the bathroom freshening up. "You don't have to go" Barry said
"You know it's not safe for you if I stay here and it may not be safe for Ellie" Caitlin said
"You can come back anytime" Barry said and noticed that she was very stressed. He put his hand on her forearm and continued "hey, breathe"
She nodded and stopped what she was doing. She took a big breath in and out. "Thank you" she said "Thank you for helping us and you have done so much, but I can't live here knowing that I put you in danger and now my husband is onto you because you told me that they were not FBI so he must have hired them"
"Ok but what are you going to do? Where are you going to go?" Barry said
"I'm going to go see someone I haven't seen in a while" She said. They next morning they were going to go to Starling City.
"Ok so I guess this is it" Caitlin said "Thank you for everything" and the were about leave.
"Wait" Barry said and they stopped in the door way "here" he said pulling a piece of paper out and giving it to her. "It's my phone number, if your ever in trouble or if you need anything call me ok"
"I will, thank you Barry" Caitlin said
"No problem" Barry said
"Bye Barry" Ellie said
"Bye Ellie" Barry said "I'm going to miss you"
"Can you list us" She said
"That depends on what happens next" Barry said
"Bye Barry" Caitlin said
"Bye Caitlin" Barry said and watched her walk off with Ellie.
Caitlin and Ellie caught a taxi to Tanhouser Industries, when they walked in the receptionist gave her a funny look. "Hello, are you lost?"
"Uh no" Caitlin said "I'm here to see my mother Carla Tanhouser"
"Do you have an appointment?" The receptionist asked
"Uh no but if you tell her it's Caitlin Snow she might make time for me" Caitlin said
"Ms Tanhouser is a very busy woman..." The receptionist was cut off by a voice coming from the upper level of the building.
"I appreciate the assistance becky but Caitlin is always welcome here even if I wished she called" Carla said
"Nice to see you to Mum" Caitlin said loudly. They walked up to her office which as full of chemical equipment.
"So what's this visit for, do you need money?" She asked
"I wanted Ellie to meet her grandmother" Caitlin said and Carla looked down at the small girl who was holding Caitlin's hand.
"Hi" Carla said looking down at her grandchild and then looked back to her computer.
As much as she hated to say it she said "Yes, we need money to survive"
"Look you come here after all this time, show up with a granddaughter and expect me to give you lots of money. No way but I will give you twenty dollars to buy some lunch" Carla said handing the money to Caitlin who scoffed.
"Unbelievable, you know the point of a parent is to take care of your child no matter what, well congratulations for filling at that" Caitlin said and walked away with the twenty dollars. She got her and Ellie something to eat from McDonalds.
A few hours later Caitlin was sitting of some random staircase outside and had nowhere to stay. She was crying into her hand unsure of what to do. Ellie noticed her mother was in distress and stood in front of her. She stood in front of her mum and said "Mummy, don't cry" Caitlin then started wiping her tears away and Ellie hugged her mother. Caitlin just held her daughter close while she had to figure out what to do.
